[FOF] Forke Beta Tester 94 posts 12,050 battles Report post #27 Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) For example Nagato 3.1km dps - 188 5km dps - 40 So, puny 40dps at 5km, still mediocre 80dps with Manual AA and decent 188dps at 3.1km. So if you really want Nagato to have some form of AA, you'd be better with AFT and AA range upgrade to maximize pew pew time for 25mm guns. More range for secondaries as a bonus. Gneisenau 2km dps - 92 3.5km dps - 62 5.2km dps - 136 With manual AA Gneisenau greets planes with 272dps at 5km, brutal dps at tier 7. Mid and short range dps is average, and 20mm guns with their 2km range barely contributes at all. You underestimate the manual AA skill. It doesn't raise the existing bonus up to 100% but adds another 100%. In the end you have to multiply the dps with 2.6 to get the exact number. So for a Gneisenau with bft and manual AA this means: 136(base dps) * 1.1(bft) * 1.3 (normal bonus for target marking) * 2(manual AA bonus) which leaves us at around 390 dps. For the Atlanta you can also include the defensive fire skill. 121* 1.1 *1.3 *2 *3(defensive fire dmg bonus) here you end up at around 1040 dps. For cruiser it is actually a very viable choice, because it scales really well with the defensive fire abillity. Edited October 31, 2016 by Forke
