Clan System Public Test

Captains,

 

This is the moment many of you have been waiting for, it is time to launch the first Clan System test!

Here is your chance to take part - to create your own clan, to invite your friends and to give us the feedback we need to make this the best clan system ever!

 

Conditions:

You need to register your clans HERE. Registrations open on October 28, 19:00 CEST (UTC+2) and close on October 31, 09:00 CET (UTC+1) or when we have received 100 valid clan registrations.
Clans registering within this deadline and before the capacity is full will be added to the test in update 0.5.14.
Clan registration in this test stage is FREE OF CHARGE. When clans are rolled out in full, their creation may cost doubloons (similar to other World of... titles).

 

A valid registration must contain:

 

• E-mail address and nickname of the clan leader
• Clan name: Any symbols. Name length: 2-70
• Clan tag: Allowed symbols: numbers, latin letters, underscore (_), hyphen (-). Tag length: 2-5 symbols
• Nicknames of 9 other players who will be participating in the clan (not mandatory, but helpful in tracking the clan creation and growth)

 

Clan names and tags are subject to the World of Warships Game Rules (http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum-120/announcement-17-world-of-warships-game-rules/).

 

Here are some details about the test itself:

 

• The test begins with the deployment of Update 0.5.14
• The test ends in the first half of December - We will keep you informed about the exact date
• All Test Clans will be wiped before the clan system is launched
• Leaders of Test Clans with 10 or more active members (More than 29 PvP / Ranked battles during the testing) will be offered an option to reserve their clan name before the Clan system is launched
• Clans are currently planned to have a maximum of 30 members
• The number of total members is not yet final (as nothing is final until it's released), but was created based on the model of the current version of our high end game play
• At this time we do not have any higher organization structures to connect individual clans, but options for "Alliances" are being considered
• Feedback will be collected from Clan commanders at a later date, but if you want to add your personal feedback, please leave it HERE (http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/65104-clan-system-feedback/)
• All Clan functionalities are in testing and subject to change!

 

We have also extended this offer to several big existing clans and community contributors, giving them chance to create their own clans. For your information, these clan tags and names are already taken:

Creation using premium currency is standard also in WoT and is not problem. But the amount of ppl will be a big problem.

30 feels awfully low a limit considering I know of at least three clans with membership in the hundreds... why force them to split into several subclans?

Other than that though (which you say yourself Kandly is still subject to change, so let's wait what shape the final release will take) - really good news!

Well i guess the 30 limit comes with the server limitations.Being a test maybe its also a way to find out how the system handles various numbers..

Oopsie. I take the blame here fully on my shoulders - when preparing the text, we were talking about WoT a lot here in our little corner and... Well... A cross-circuit happened. Sorry

While there are few clans with membership in hundreds, most clans have way less active players - and for the big clans we may have something else in store as well. In any case, for now it is a test and the signups open in something over 10 minutes - so give it a go

I think, we had a little misunderstanding in our team and because we're all excited about this, everyone started creating his own teams, so currently, we have like 6 teams registered and it has more or less the same names on the rosters.

 

Is there a way, we can get in touch with someone from WG and just send him the list of teams, they should scratch, so we can create like a new, fresh registration?

Just submitted my sig up request by the name of Ars Nova Weebs Warriors , how excited i am to be able to play with mai friends in clans :3 . Just  , love. I suppose the name is subject to change , but hey, its the first thing we got to think , right ? right?.... Well, see ya all guys on the battlefield . Erm, i just applied one name to it, on the sign up it aint showed as a mandatory feauture . I still need to talk to rest of the gang  , so ye . Right now, we are just two guys on my clan .

(only entered one), did it succeed or not?

Just drop here name of the commander you want to keep and names of those, who started the other clans, we will then disregard them and keep just the one

Nope, this test is Clan strictly.

They can apply later on - main thing is to have at the end of the test at least the 10 active members (if you want to keep the clan name etc ;)) - as noted, the 9 other names are mostly so that we can track the clan behavior - and also to make the commander think a bit about "who will go with me?" before submitting the request.

If you give this, the first try succeeded. We shall try to polish the system  a bit
