In your defence I think you're saying that people who have bad experiences of a ship will tend to hate the ship and that this doesn't necessarily reflect a players ability but rather their opinions will be coloured by their actual experience. This is certainly true for me. Also if a ship doesn't have a play style you like naturally you won't like the ship.

When I played Danae I had bad experiences. So naturally I skipped her and Emerald. Perhaps at some point I should go back - try the torp boat tactic and see if I get results. I still think that generally the ship is weak - but played "a certain way" can get results. I don't like that certain way though :)

Well put,  I think if  WG  have to  put  up a  page  saying  how  to  play  them  then  that  says it all.....if  some  are  described  as  'challenging'  my personal  response  is  to stay  sticking a  large  fork up  my  bottom without causing major blood loss is  'challenging'...but oddly enough no  fun....

You just have to shove it in with the handle side first, then it's peanuts and depending on personal preferences one might even enjoy it... Like, it's easy when you know what you have to do and when you do it right. When you do it wrong it's a pain in the bottom.

So, in fact, quite a good example for how it is with RN Cruisers, in fact. :hiding:

Bite through it, Leander is a breath of fresh air and Fiji is where the dpm takes a giant leap. The tier 4 and 5 are the worst in the line.

I got Emerald to last night. And heard its peace of trash. Tho its required around 40k exp until Leander...

Gameplay on Emerald sucks even with smoke generator?

I know it was painfull for me to play German cruiser tree until T5 as I remember just because of those small guns.

Emerald is fun and easy. Be like that guy from casting couch - lure them poor souls into your smoke and unload torps on their faces.

Why Emerald have smoke which cover only 1 spot on field instead ''chain'' like DD's? IF you want to spread the fog on your team side, its impossible.

'Cause that's not what RN cruisers are supposed to do. And if your speed is right, it's two smoke blobs - just to keep you secure... or as secure as one can be in two blobs of smoke :teethhappy:

So its 2 blobs in fact? I tought its 1 only. Not so bad. But I see that works only if you have enough speed on ship to spread it on time.

actually a  good idea..I could  pick  up the leaves in the garden  whilst  enjoying a coffee and a  bacon sandwich at  the  same  time

It is supposed to be 2 blobs, if it works properly.

Which it frequently doesn't.

It would be funny to see 3-4 team mates trying to hide in 1 my blob.

it's not. Especially BB drivers often push you out of your smoke into oblivion

To bad there is no report for those kind of. Maybe poor gameplay option.

When I play BB and notice allie smoke on field nearby, I came close but not inside blobs because I donw wanna be on anyone way to get out or in.

For me, some distance between team mates on field was always matter.

I am missing an option to report players on account of "unsportsmanlike conduct".

"Poor gameplay", in my mind, is something different - it's more like someone choosing to chase down the last, irrelevant destroyer, instead of capping, and thereby losing the game. It can be frustrating but it's not something I would ever report someone for. It's up to everyone to decide how best to try and win the game.

"Unsportsmanlike conduct", on the other hand, would cover downright bad behaviour, such as intentionally blocking a team mate, or informing the enemy team in all-chat where one's allies are on the map.

reporting player position over chat = chat abuse ( well I been using it for those reports ) ;)

Interpretations.. interpretations... :coin:

I've also used the chat abuse report in those situations.

I don't find myself obliged to make a report all that often, but informing on one's own team over all-chat is such a spiteful way of ruining the game - for both sides, really.

Especially when done by salty people who blame the one still alive for them being death. And yes, that no different when it's someone on the enemy team, if I got reports left I will report it. But you're right, the categories are quite ambiguous.

I have to admit, that when losing a match I sometimes give postions of /afk players to the enemy, to make sure they get sunk, too. Due to the economical changes this doesn't make real sense any more, but it fills me with a warm, soggy x-maslike feeling, to see those guys go down.

Usually AFK people will die before end of match since enemy moves up to spawn. And if not, I report all AFK even those starting minutes late as BOT ( and  I would urge EVERYONE to do the same ).

Apparently someone did 410k dmg in one battle with Leander :D:D:D

That I would love to see! Must be a lot of BB's torped to death to rack up that dmg, and surviving that many yolo torpedo runs means he either got extremely lucky or had extremely bad enemies :D

Quotet from the reddit thread:

Oh I was fully expecting it not to count and wouldn't have accepted the prize had I been given it anyway, as others would deserve it more. I just wondered if it might get a mention as a comedy aside. It happened on the server burp day. Basically I ended up in what turned out to be a 1 v 3 (me in Leander, versus a Cleveland, Mogami and Amagi plus an awful lot of disconnected players. Unfortunately the Mogami and Amagi capped right at the start and the Mogami didn't engage me, until right at the end, so it ended up a defeat. Took out the Cleveland, then had free reign on the AFKers, before taking on the Mogami, but his firepower just whittled me away a bit quicker than I could do to him.I'm now a statistical blip on the leaderboards. I mean I'm not a bad player, but no superunicum type. But I'll never beat that XP or damage (410,000) with a legitimate game - my previous best was about 3600 and about 180k damage iirc.

Farming damage from disconnected players, don't think that should account for anything tbh :coin:

Funny though, and will look awesome on his profile forever :great:
