Have you even checked to see what the armor is like on these garbage scows? Anything, even a DD gets within 8km of you and your in trouble. Oh and just in case you didnt know....angling makes NO difference either. The only way to have a good game in these crapheaps is if the entire enemy team is shooting at someone else. And yes I really dont like these RN ships one bit, and yes Ive only got to T4, but from what Ive read so far they dont get any better regardless of tier. You forgot the 'if everything else fails part' that goes in front of what I was saying but thanks for pulling it completely out of context anyways. And I do know angling doesn't help cause I'm writing exactly that a couple of lines before you decided to go full retard. Please feel free to hate the entire line, just try not to take it out on someone that's at least sharing some experiences. We all agree the entire line up to Tier VI basically sucks. For example, there were lots and lots of germans and foreign wehraboos complaining about the german BBs too, when in fact 8 out of 10 are great. Time and time again us Brits said "they dont need to be the best, just as good as the other nations, and fun" - and the main reason for this is because the experience of WOT, where WG made Brit lines complete garbage. I still made them work of course, now it depends what happens with the average WoWS player. Also keep in mind that you will need, regardless of the ship itself, some time to adapt to it. I see them being ultimately weak and an embarrassment to the first RN line to be honest... Might be different for others... but even facing them, they seem weak and pointless! Maybe youre right, maybe not. I could imagine that lots of players are not yet used to what a combination of smoke+hydro on a cruiser can actually do. But probably it was a major fault of WG to make the british ships a "specialist" line in the first place, regardless of their performance. But they play differently and that is what I like! But what I don't like is the DD killing potential. Yeah it is possible and on a broadside DD you do a lot of dmg. But the game before a Farragut just got away with it popping out around an island at 3km. With any other cruiser I would have sunk him, no question about it. But he was doing the smart thing and running away. Shots just bounced and as he opened the distance dispersion was doing the rest. For cruisers with such low detection and reload at the beginning it sounds like the perfect DD counter (finally) but in the end if you play it smart you will get away if you face one in a 1 on 1 fight by just angling, opening the distance and stealth up again even if you pop into vision at 3km. They are light cruisers. They do get wrecked easily but have smoke and repair. The Minotaur was the most fun I have had in a tier X and Edinburgh is challenging for my favourite ship (non premium) The tier 3 is "alright" given the other tier 3s. You can beat a St. Louis you need to know how. But the tier 4 is awful the tier 5 is weak and the tier 6 is average (not as awful). But even with the "terrible" Danae I can play her so that I am as good as I am in any other tier 4 cruiser. The only real objection I had was that they are too much work and not much fun to play well. But some people will like that game play. Question is how many. In terms of "keepers" for me the line has 3. Fiji, Edinburgh and Minotaur. It's just a shame I feel that all the meh/bad ships are clustered together. The entire line isn't garbage.
