Containers - what will be your strategy?

I'm interested in how people are planning to use the containers.  For me, I seem to be doing ok for credits and flags (ranked has really pushed the flag count up).  This means that the standard choices are kind of useless and I'm probably going to try my luck, pretty much all of the time.

 

I've read that the chances of getting something like a rare premium are insanely small... as you would expect I guess, but my logic I might as well give myself the best chance of getting it.

I will only go for supercontainers, since i play ranked and have more than enough flags and have more credits that i can ever spend.

I know that i have a really small chance of getting one and even smaller for a premium ship but hey, i also play lottery so why not. A Nikolai or Gremyaschy would be lovely.

Got to go for the 'try your luck' - as all the other 'stuff' can be earned in game. Will be hoping for those 'rare' Premium ships.

Mix/ not sure. I have a bit "trouble" with the gambling idea. If I want to do that I'll go to the relevant casino sites. And since I'm not interested in gambling (RNG-us is a fact which I don't like too much either for that matter) I won't. I have the gut feeling winning the eurolottery is a picknick compared to the chances to win a prem ship here. So I'll check the forum about this once in a while and see if someone has actually won 1. Or some other special price for that matter. Furthermore I don't really see the point in this: I like the daily missions as they are now. But I'll keep an open mind and see how it works out.

I'm going for consumables. I use DC2 on all ships, so this is the most profitable for me (the credits is usually 50k, 3x DC2 is worth 67.5k)

 

I'm generally not very "lucky" so I'd rather have 3 things and a normal chance of a super container than 1 thing and a slightly better chance.

 

If people data mine the chances and show it to be significantly better then I might swap to the luck one

In credit terms consumable containers should be more profitable than credit ones as explained above. I don't think that chance to get epic price will be higher enough on luck containers to justify getting only 1/3 of regular rewards

Will try my Luck!! Currently have hundreds of each of the flags and almost 110 Millian creds so dont specifically need Creds or flags

This would get me the same amout of credits as current missions and some chance to get Diana

On PT I tried the "luck" crates about 10 times and only got minor rewards (like 5 signal flags...)

So either I was quite unlucky or the odds of getting anything but the lowest rewards is very small - and yes I know the sample is very small to have anything but a subjective opinion

 

Hence I will focus on credit & signal crates.

Maybe just maybe if I feel lucky on a specific day will I try the luck ones again.

If it were possible to get the Iawaki Apha I'd go for the lucky dip crates.  As it is I have the two rare ships most people would want, and most of the rest.  I think the consumables will be the thing to go fur unless we get the opportunity to buy then in bulk for half price a few weekends a year as in the tanks.  But then, when the flags run low...

I have only seen leaked data so it is not for certain that the chances will remain the same on live.

The only exception is that for the consumables one to become profitable you need to already be using DC2 a lot.

 

If your regular expenditures includes lots of DC2 then choosing consumables will save you money. If you prefer the free one then credits will earn you more.

 

As a gift you get 250 DC2 so even if you use it on everything that gets you sorted for 250 games. For that reason I'll be using the other crates until that stockpile gets low and then will swap to mainly using consumables crate

You have now been added to The List. For a long time you will get nothing worthwhile, and when finally you get that supercontainer, it contains the same low tier premium ship you already have and you only receive the crappy credit value of the ship to compensate.

Well since have 1BIL creds , and have 15k+ signals , will try - "Try your luck" ones

An advice, especially for players without premium account: open each container right away, always. There is a chance for helpful loot, for example premium accounts, too.
