For more "information", I suggest reading Julius Caesar by Shakespeare. It's of course fiction about the historical event, but it have some genius lines in it, one of the best would be Brutus speech to the Roman citizen, then followed by the genius speech full of hypocrisy and manipulation of Marcus Antonius.

Yeah, I only knew of a 'Brutus' who murdered Caesar, and I believed him to be a friend, rather than adopted son.

I won't claim to be an expert on History.

I have to admire a game which has, amongst priority US DDs, freaking Charles Ausburn. And Thatcher (not margaret) and Laffey. And Foote and Spence. Wait, that sounds like the cast of Operation Cherry Blossom... Where's Sendai ? The US Solomon fighters are strong around here.

They also have Pinghai and Ninghai (I'm going to say Yasoshima from now on =D) which have additional damage against Japanese units (probably cause they were build as nigh copies of the Yubari, with japanese help =D)

Why did you get me started on this thing. Reading the skills and names, it's freaking hillarious. The KM is named MetalBlood, the IJN is the Sakura Empire, the USN is the Eagle Union BUT for some reasons the Royal Navy is STILL the Royal Navy. A world where Enterprise has 70% chances to turn unvisible, Tirpitz launches torps every 15 seconds, and Glowworm seems actually useful.

I am also hoping to get Shoukaku/Zuikaku drop because they look cute af as well.

Not sure what to make of the fact that the japanese ships are the only ones that have distinctly non-human features. While it may look cute, the implications are a bit... And considering this is China I would not be surprised if that was intentional. I mean the PRC is a country where you have a 24/7 TV channel that only plays propaganda movies of chinese people murdering japanese people by the hundreds.

Pretty sure it's just a deliberate design choice. Most modern Chinese netizens are fairly cool with Japan (at least until the next Japanese politician breaks off another [edited]-storm). Then again they're also the ones who tend to read manga, play video games (including KC) and so on, so that's hardly surprising.

Same can't be said about the older generation, though. And imo that's more than understandable. My grandparents lived through the war. My grandmother talked to me about it only once. I'll never forget her words nor the haunted look she had.

(But yeah, let's not get political in here lest we get shut down by mods.)

Understandable ? I don't know any elderly people around me who have anything against germans. And, ya know, I live in north west, we had our share of villages burnt and civilians massacred there. But for some reasons all old people I know like Italians and germans more than british and americans.

Well, it could just be an aesthetic stereotype thing. Like how the Japanese have a reputation for tentacles this side of the internet, they may very well have a reputation for animal eared girls in China. Seeing as how most cultures are interested in things that are different from their own and Chinese folklore and media generally doesn't have animal eared girls, it might just be what the authors of the game considers most distinctively "Japanese" like how they reverted to the cowboy aesthetics with Hornet.

Not exactly. Azur lane has the collecting cute shipgirls element, but the gameplay is completely different. It is kind of a bullet hell light instead of the KC RNG fest.

Also it kind of a has a barracks system that reminds me of Girls Frontline where you can just have some chibi girls being cute in a building that you build up so they can get bonus XP

Also there is quite an obvious reason why it probably isn't racist. All the voice acting is in Japanese after all.
