(I do have some +200% bonus missions left for my Harekaze and Belfast from the summer sales, which expire the end of this month, so I will be playing the end of this week...)

But it turned out most people left it, as people either stopped playing kancolle or just went to more dedicated Kancolle forums.

We can also repopulate the pretty much dead Forumites channel. For those who don't know, Forumites channel by Sturmtiger_304 was the most popular meeting place for forumites. If one asked here at forums for people to play with, he was in almost all cases directed to Forumites channel (PW: play4fun).

 

But the introduction of clans in late 2016, and especially forming of SCRUBs pretty much killed the channel, as roughly 50% went to SCRUBs and others into their own clans and their channels respectively. Forumites channel then slowly died, and is these days just a tiny shadow of its former glory. (In certain sense The Scrubs Community channel has continued the traditions of Forumites; while it's a combined chat for SCRUBs, it's also open for other people who want to div up with people.)

 

 

As we all fall under the category of Forumites, my proposal is to repopulate the Forumites channel and write a new chapter into its story!

It was our small internal heaven, a place often known only in tales from lands far away. Truly an El Dorado of our own. Oh, don't even remember when it was born, but the story tells it was around mid-2015. Everything was fine, game changed but the Forumites lived on. No matter what happened, whether mountains collapsed or thunder roared, Forumites remained as a safe harbor for sailors. Then, in late 2016, around November came the clan function and Forumites started to slowly take fatal wounds, and the population began to shrink. She tried to fight against the changing world, but time had passed her. In a few months Forumites became practically empty. These days you can only hear the quiet whisper of wind, splashes of waves and sometimes you might even see a lonely Wolf there, who came to recollect the lost pieces of past times.

 

What happened to the people called forumites then? Roughly half of them went to SCRUBs, and other half into their own clans respectively. Some brave sailors still sail alone, trying to find something they lost long ago, or perhaps, just hunt the treasures of the seven seas. Who knows? While SCRUBs was one of the major causes for the demise of Forumites, there is also a bright side on that event; SCRUBs was born from the ashes of Forumites, and continues to keep its traditions alive in the rough seas with an open to all channel of their own.

 

As I said, my son, Forumites is now a land of silence. A place that once was full of life is now as quiet as a graveyard. Many have forgotten its existence, and it has become a mythical place. A place of which old veteran sailors tell stories about. A place of which you can still find traces about, if you dig deep enough in the Forums.

 

So, what if we'd go and write a new chapter into the story of Forumites? Lets go and watch how it once again rises from the ashes into a brave new era. Because in the end, Forumites is immortal as long as there are sailors who believe into its existence. It's us who make Forumites a truth, a place that exists.
