So I got all the rare drop on that node except the one I absolutely wanted. Teste, Mizuho, I-401, even Takanami and multiple copies of Kazagumo... but no Teruzuki in over 75 run.

Oh, also I just got HQ80, so I'll farm 1-5 to get Akashi, and then I'll start the looooong leveling of all the ship I dropped (and I got more than one or two... Teste, Mizuho, Ooyodo, Taigei, Z1, Richelieu, Shioi... and some DD to get the equipment after the Kai.), and then I'll start trying to craft Bismarck !

And after that... stockpiling for the next event so the nightmare won't happen twice.

That admiral is a gentle one. Actually, looking around on Danbooru, I find most admirals (and Yonehara) to be far more interesting than whatever the anime came up with. And what appears in most fanfics.

The anime's concept for the admiral was not stupid at all, it was just... not perfectly implemented.

Hiei and Kirishima both sank around the same time after Guadalcanal, which would explain why we see them both hit in the picture (although the picture isnt based off of that battle afaik.)

Kirishima was hit by 9 406mm shells and at least 15 lower caliber shells, all under one minute or so, which destroyed both her forward turrets and jammed the back ones - along with her steering -, sat her afire AND caused her to list very quickly.
Compared to that, a simple headshot seems like almost nothing.

Yeah, he's probably at the top. He's just plain awesome. I especially like his relationship with Murakumo.

 

I also like at least two of the shitty admirals, mostly because they mostly really turn things around rather than actively agonises the girls without reason. One of them in the Bono doujin, and that's mostly because she sets herself up for it.

 

Rappa's kid admiral isn't bad either.

 

But all in all, there are a ton of great doujins.

The idea wasn't bad, no, but the result wasn't particularly interesting. Kind of moved out of he way as much as possible, except to fulfill the "marry Bucky" fantasy, which was just jarring in comparison.

It's been something I'm curious about for a while - last I checked the German DDs and Bisko were added, but wasn't that years ago?
