I actually never knew that...  I thought Warship Girls is the only rip-off from China market.

 

Damn the bootlegs is complete blatant copy down to arts, compared to Warship Girls at least it uses original arts.

Seriously, there are a crap ton of them, and many of them down right steal art of the original one, down to every last detail.

 

As far as I am aware, there are actually 3 official ones. Kancolle (Kantai Collection) being the original from Japan.

Warship Girls (Zhan Jian Shao Nyu) being an actual original chinese version that does not steal anything from the japanese one, other than being very heavily inspired by it.

And then there is Victory Bells which is sort of a western version of Kancolle made by a western team. Again, like warship girls, this one has it's own unique art.

 

Those 3 are really the only ones, all the other are basicly trying to steal Kancolle players by decieving them and making them think they are playing the original one.

Also many of those bootleg version have taken advantage of foreigners by being in english, which the original japanese one isn't.

 

It's crazy how such a small niche game with barely any hope for a long life, managed to become as big as it did, to the point where other companies were trying to scam players.

Getting Yuudachi isn't luck, she's very easy to get.

And one of the most important DD to level. She's crazy strong when Kai Ni. Her sister Shigure is important too btw, for different reasons. (Shigure got really high luck stat. And she's cute af.)

"Rare" DD to craft are Shimakaze and Yukikaze. Yukikaze got the best luck ingame and Shimakaze got overall very good stats. And both have their only remodel at level 20 which is very fast.

After that, there are "event-only DDs" like most of the Yuugumo-class, some Ayanami-class, some Kagero-class like Isokaze, which are not very powerful but sometimes gives very good equipments (like the Skilled Lookout on Kazagumo), and the very useful Akizuki class. Apart from Akizuki and her sister (currently there's only Akizuki, Teruzuki and Hatsuzuki), most event only DD are just trophy ship.

 

Like her : Completely a trophy ship, but also completely a waifu.

Sendai class are easy to get too. But both Jintsuu and Sendai should get leveled in priority too. Jintsuu have amazing firepower, and Sendai gives all the night equipment, namely Starshells, Projector and the only night-recon plane ingame. And Sendai's a beast in night-battle.

For the CLs, Kiso, Kitakami and Ooi can be leveled as CLT (torpedo cruisers) and are all very strong, Jintsuu and Sendai are priority to level up along with Abukuma, and then Yura.

"Rare" CLs are the Agano class which have decent all-around stats, and Ooyodo,that gives an unique item and is the only CL with 4 equipment slots.

 

And Kiso Kai Ni looks so freaking badass, I love her.

So I guess ill tell you guys what ships I have currently, I have Yuudachi, Shigure, Murasame, Inazuma, Jintsuu, Mutsuki, Ayanami, Hatsuyuki, Shirayuki, Miyuki and Nagara....

I believe now from what I have read is that the Shiratsuyu class Kai Ni is powerful... Need more XP (Isonami and Shikinami recieved)

Just play through the first few areas, everything u got so far is pretty common, make sure you do the quests u can,some will give you extra fleet slots and stuff, try focusing on leveling things that have a Kai ni or a useful stat, find those over on the wiki, try not to use a whole lot of resources on things too early on as you are unlikely to get anything exceptional for a while. If u need info on a ship, wiki it or if you want to know the best ships in class (statistically) those lists are on the wiki too. I recommend trying to find the quests that unlock 2nd and third fleet so that you can get started with expedition farming. And on a side note, this is the "waifu" page, so unless u got waifus to post I would advise posting these things elsewhere :P

Commie China unfortunately doesn't really care about other countries intellectual property so many are still up.

 

There are also quite a lot of 'inspired by KC' shipgirl games these days like the aforementioned Warship Girls and Victory belles but also Azure War which the same but with slight 3d and no WW2 I think.

And Azur Lane which is more of a bullet hell and actually tries something different for once gameplay wise instead of directly copying KC.

I second that. The Kancolle site has a lot of valuable information on what shipgirls are good to get.

Now, with that said, unless you aim to go for medium and especially hard difficulty during events, you will not really need the Kai Ni girls and so on.

On easy basicly any girls work, so just pick your favourites.

 

However, the girls you MUST get are all 3 Sendai class ships (Sendai, Jintsu and Naka) and the Kongos (Kongou, Haruna, Kirishima and Hiei) as getting these ships allow you to unlock the 3rd and 4th fleet which is usefull for expeditions.

When I started playing KC, it had the entry lottery. Basically, you had to rely on RNG to even start playing the game. It's not too hard to figure out what you can expect from a game like that.

Poi is the strongest DD in the game, and her raw night battle power is on par with the Myoukou class. The torpedo cruisers, Jintsuu, Myoukou, Haguro, and Choukai are the only ships who're stronger. Of course, since Yuudachi is a DD, she can't equip anything other than light guns and torpedoes, so it's not entirely true in practice. And my Poi also has 55 luck, which is higher than Shigure's 50 luck, so there's that.

Easy to get, but powerful. Jintsuu is one of the most dependable light cruisers, and the other two aren't far behind. There are a couple (Abukuma and Yura, I believe) who can equip the minisubs for initial torpedo strike, which is more useful in the long run, but for raw power, Jintsuu's a beast, especially at night.

Isokaze has the best CG. Her seasonal damaged cooking CG. So proud. Pola's "refill, please" is also at the top.

It's the largest class I have all of, which makes me happy. Did manage to get a screenshot with a full ten Shiratsuyus in the same battle a few events ago, since you need a combined fleet for that.

Yahagi is probably my go to choice for best personality, also the first rare ship I ever got besides Akagi (and maybe Mutsu, but afaik. Yahagi is rarer, gotten tons of Mutsu's from LSC)

 

And they just fit SO WELL together. Even went down fighting next to each other.
