Absolutely.

When I was born my hair was completely white,

when I was 5 it was blonde.

by the time I was 10 it was brown.

No dye, no nothing

Well, I am asian, I didnt knew that hair can change colours.

Yep. It can. I had a period in elementary school where I was blonde for a few years before returning to brunette.

Why it happens I could not say though.

 Yea they can. I'm Italian and i was Blonde until 10 years old then i gradually changed coloration to light brown more or less (a colour between Littorio and Roma)

It's extremely rare for adults tho (as far as I know) but it's very common for children, the younger the most likely. A baby born with a certain hair color is bound to have a different one for its first birthday. It's not always tru but it's fairly common I'd say.

I was born with dark brown hair. By the time I was two or three they were a shiny blond and now they're a sort of mix of the two - tho still rather light, I don't think I can be called blond anymore.

 

Edit : ah, that's also much more common for light hair to darken than dark hair to lighten. Hair darken very often but they rarely lighten in general - and when they do they usually darken again afterwards.

Yeah, well... yeah. Although I'd rather call that a loss of color than a change of color but I guess it's pretty close.

Hmm.. I see. But I was wondering too why its never happens to black-haired peoples, like its always black from you born until you die (or the hair loss its pigments for hairs).

Its quite intriguing since you tell me that. I wonder if some scientist already make a study about this.

Actually it can happen. I have had from birth a dark brown, with some black hair here and there, hair. Though while I was around 5-6 years old my hair got more blonde/mix of brown-blonde for a short period (maybe just that summer or even 1-2 years, can't remember as was so young, should ask my mother someday how it was or find some photos from those days.)

 

So yeah, color change of the hair is rather common. At least for europeans, don't know how other races have it. Just for example, you don't really see naturally blonde africans. Also you (Kita) as an asian were apparently amazed by this color change thing, so we could roughly say it doesn't seem to be much of a thing for asians either? These things would be an interesting area to study but it is a bit taboo now (race & ethnicity and how they make us different).

So (for ex.) asians and africans have often dark hair, but you can still easily distinguish them just from the hair texture (situation where you can only see the hair, not other body parts).

Nope, I never encounter such thing with any other asians, except for mixed race people. But I dont think the colours changes just a mix of two. So yeah.. I really curious about it, guess got the answers now.

Yes i've only saw the design of some shipgirls they are nice.
