Now I'm already annoyed to keep on collecting point missions, even after receiving all weekly rewards.

Whatever the reason, I'm not sure I like it as it now is.

I get why they've made it like this, but yeah I'm not particularly fond of getting all these extra mission clears when they don't do anything.

Fyi: Ai Kayano got removed as Platinums VA in Arknights, due to a controversial visit of a shrine, which caused a ruckus especially in the CN community.

Considering it already took place in feburary, it's kinda weird that she got removed now.

 

Lets see if Manjuu follows, as she voices some important characters in AL aswell. (Kaga, Atago, Graf Zeppelin and Renown.)

 

 

Kasumi also gets a retrofit. Any ideas which ship could be added as extra for the Cherry Blossom rerun?

Doing a quick google search, it looks like we didn't get a PR3 announcement/reveal until July 5th last year, so you just need to wait another two weeks.

As soon as I read that, I knew it was going to be Yasukuni Shrine.

It's well-established by this point that if you don't want to piss off most of East Asia, you just do not go there.

From what I can understand, it's unlikely that JP (and thus EN) will end up changing anything. Technically different companies involved and all that (also, JP is where their biggest market share is, so they can't afford to do anything to offend JP).

I did not actually day "known", I said "established" by which I meant that the fact that East Asia (not just China) will get mad at people visiting Yasukuni is something that has happened many many times in the past.

However, it's still entirely likely that Ms Kayano was completely ignorant of the facts and merely visited thinking that the shrine is pretty.

Who said anything about getting a second VA? They could just leave them without voices.

It's not an elegant solution, but it's cheaper than hiring another VA.

Do you have any certainty or is it just a wild guess ? For all that's known, she could have totally been aware of all the controversies and willingly decided to visit it regardless;

It's not like she went there to commit a ritual of sudoku in the name of the Emperor echi hentai, all recorded in 4k. Back in february she just mentioned that she went there to pray for luck with some future project (if my yt sources are correct), meaning this is just another BS controversy stirred up by the moral busybodies wanting to rack up some social credit points.

I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. I have no idea, but there's no point in assuming she did it intentionally.

Also, as @MK1D said, if she did it intentionally to cause a stir then why not go shouting out about it on as many platforms as possible?

All the available evidence suggests it was ignorance on her part.

Dammit, I got ninja'd.*

Welp, I know that as soon as the 8th of July hits (which will be immediately after the Swirling Cherry Blossoms event rerun, btw) I will be dropping my Drake BP farm in favour of Hakuryuu. Only once I have her up to DevLvl30 will I swap back to Drake (and even then, I'll be prioritsing the Drake gun over Drake herself).

Agir is apparently a super cruiser with a defensive focus, sounds cool, but KMS is low priority for me. Same goes for Parseval.

I wasn't even aware there was a USS Anchorage in WoWS. Apparently, she'll have torpedoes instead of a secondary gun (in other words, she'll be crap).

Also, @Pururut, here's the PR4 news you wanted.

I like Parco Molo's design, so after I've completed Hakuryuu I will likely grind her next. Anchorage's rigging looks cool, but a USN CA with torpedo instead of secondaries? That's a hard pass.

Roon/Sanrui have torps instead secondary gun equipment, doesn't stop them from getting second Main Gun mount as you feed them blueprints. And this I guess would be the case with Anchorage, alongside "smoke" skill and trash AA stat.

That's why I asked. But I didn't mean it like that. It's not about willingly causing a stir, but you can be aware of the controversies and simply think they're not that big of a deal - one's outrage is another's mundane. I wouldn't call that ignorance, but maybe it's just a lexical problem ; sorry.

I will admit I was being a bit facetious. At the very least, Anchorage will likely be as good as Saint Luis, but she'd need to have some really good skills to come close to equalling all-gun USN CAs in NJ meta.

Yeah, the way I read your comment, it came across more agressive than I know you are. No worries.

I think the only way you would be aware of controversies and not think they're a big deal is if you're not versed in the culture. Like, fair enough if a Russian person or African person had heard of the controversy around Yasukuni and didn't think much of it, because the controversy itself would have not affected them or their ancestors in the same way as it would have affected a Chinese person or Korean person. However, it's likely that a Japanese person who did know the controversy would have realised the implications of going there and would have avoided it. Therefore, giving Ms Kayano the benefit of the doubt, we can only assume she was totally ignorant*.

It's two different types of ignorance, I suppose.

With "controversies" like this it's plain obvious that there are people who don't care about these little things, the actual players who support the game, and haters looking for ammunition to attack. It's like those recent "controversies" with Genshin Impact when moral busybodies were angry on twitter that the skin color of one character was slightly different depending on the time of day or right now, they're angry that female characters in the official art have unrealistic bodies. There even was one funny thing in my country a month ago when a Polish karen was angry at Azur Lane on facebook, she posted a video of in-game Taihou's tits jiggling on her son's phone and demanded these +18 materials to be removed from the google store.
