Event text actually has some decent jokes in it, and I kinda like the battle themes. Pretty good high effort event. Also you can get some PR blueprints already

Joking aside it's a very well made event even though I might not care much for Kizuna.

 

Putting the Kizuna AI and Operation Manjuu grinds in parallel is pretty evil though since you can't do both at the same time.

Though the Kizuna one seems to be pretty easy to finish with just dailies and Black-SP runs, especially seeing as the event is almost 3 weeks long.

 

Not quite sure how I'm going to get Little Bel the easiest. So far I've just done some SOS signals and it's going slow. Getting to 10k points will probably be the hardest grind yet on EN.

If you were to do only W10 maps, which could get expensive, you'd still have to clear over 70 maps to get 10k points. If you can't afford to do W10 it's only going to get worse. 77 clears for W9, 84 for W8, 91 for W7 etc.

I think W8 might be the sweet spot. Easy to Auto and you can clear with just one fleet w/o support ship. But man 84 clears even if it's easy... 

I really can't understand why they decided to run the Rerun version first on EN since it doesn't have any missions.

I've had the last week off work and I decided long ago that I would finally restore the files from my old Windows partition on my Macbook to my new PC.

The main reason I even got this new PC was because the Windows partition decided to go *fzzt* (for the umpteenth time).

However, I couldn't just do a straight 'restore C drive from backup' as my new PC is an Alienware and has a whole bunch of new stuff that didn't exist on my old partition.

So, I did a 'file-by-file' restore and checked the box to not overwrite any files that existed on my new system (because the last thing I need is for 8-month old Windows files to mess up any of the functioning up-to-date stuff).

Well, needless to say that this restoration was not quick. It took 3 and a half days (from Tuesday morning at 1am to Friday afternoon at 1pm). Plus another 24hours switch-off time to give my computer a rest (after 84hours straight of being 'on', I think just about anything could use with a rest).

Well, the good news is, I have everything back...just not quite where I expected it (my old username was just my given name on the old partition, and thus the files have been restored under a user that doesn't exist on this new system). But it's good to have all my eroge Touhou games back.

With the fact that the 'alert' icon on the map screen looks like a music box is actually a reference to Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (I realised this after I'd been jumped one-too-many times by her being on my screen after leaving the game on auto, you still need to tap her even on auto).

The second stage I think is just an oblique reference to the fact that she's a virtual idol as well as vtuber.

The fourth stage is a shoutout to Azur Lane as a whole (she's a giant looking down at/commanding her favourite shipfus in battle), but I have no idea what the fifth stage/Black is about.

I actually totally forgot about how to get Bel-chan until after I completed all of the stages of the Kizuna AI collab yesterday (literally just before shutting down the game I was like "Wait, it's not just Zep/Hiei/Akagi that we're getting, is it? How did I get Bel again?".

I think you can get 900 kizuna points per day from dailies, and 600 from the first run of the fifth stage (Black SP) plus 200 for any additional runs of Black. So just doing dailies and about 4 runs of Black per day will give you over 2k points easily (2100). Which means 'elegant AI' should be a sinch to get in 4 days. The rest is just a bonus.

I'm thinking I'm going to use this as a chance to grind 6-4 for Yuudachi. 100 points per run. Can do it in 100runs, makes it pretty easy to calculate (if I do 10 runs per day it'll be done in 10 days). My cheapest fleets can actually make short work of 6-4 on auto, while anything higher than that is a struggle.

 

Now, I'm more interested as to what are the ??? items on AI's memorabilia grid...I'd really like to get that Pyoko-Pyoko medal if I can.

Well @Captain_LOZFFVII i can confirm that mister yasakaraxx won't be on the forums, i think at all (think his ban is like 1 year. damm) judging from the messages he sent me anyways.

Either way ill reinstall azur lane when i get the time to properly play it (most likely after may 22nd defo june 3rd/4th). Shame because some of those events sound and look good.

Yeah, you're going to miss out on a fair bit.

Well, most of it should be repaeted at some point. No garantees on Kizuna AI collab, I'm afraid.

I'm only disappointed I couldn't get Nagato or Yoizuki before the end of the last event. I even bought Nagato's banned-from-reddit skin to try and lure her in.

Yeah it can't be helped sadly, oh well i just hope the summer has decent stuff going on by then.

 

After the last response i sent he made a huge wall of text, i think combining what he said previously. oh and gave me tips on the asashio and shima (won't play either due to current meta and former costing moneh)

 

Still wish yorkie had a skin doe. I genuineally can't wait for the summer, apperantly world of warcraft classic is coming out might actually try that and see what the bloody fuss was about.

By the way, in case it was unclear, you unlock the 4 ??? memories in the Kizuna event by revisiting SP1-SP4 after clearing Black-SP. They are in special nodes on those maps.

Saw that. Why wait an entire week though? 10 days even with +50% is pretty shitty.

Unfortunatly, they rushed it on EN. Considering they pushed back the PR-ships for EN and gave us the little ships as compensation I can see why the event time is that short.
