I didn't like the two brownhaired Akatsukis before the fandom (bad design, worse art, annoying personalities), and the fandom ruined what was left of them. They're at the bottom of my character ranking list.

Yes, brown Akatsukis are very poorly designed and I don't understand their popularity ( Maybe it's because "Things she saw" manga but this was very good ) Haruna and Kongou -  just no. They're as annoying as stupid. I don't know who is worse. Submisive and servile Haruna or hyperactive, empty and uproarious Kongou. I swear, I scrap both of them one day when I get Bismarck and Gangut. Hiei and Kirishima are ok.

 

Fandom at end will reduce to the Rules 34, 35 and 43 of the Internet all characters...  Shinyou has "funny pictures" maybe two hours after announcement  Futa Nelson too 

 

My main CA's are Myoukou sisters + Maya because AA although Furutaka class and Aoba class can be useful because shiplocking in medium and hard difficulty. TBH I fodded Mikawas after B41 - I didn't like too much their design and in my fleet my sympathies are above anything. Kinugasa is possibly highest above not wanted ships - maybe I retain one, now I got seven of them . She isn't destroyed by fandom and her personality is quiet normal. Her K2 CG is nice.

 

I got about 20 No.2 and 2 +8 star No.3 ( plan to max star them for obvious heavy cruiser ), 4 SK from Puddings and 4 Pastagun from Pola and Zara for CA's.   

 

Stealing MVP by Kinugasa - yeah I see her doing that many times during leveling first for B41 but I see similar strange things with other shipgirls too. In example Myoukou lvl 90 with 98 FP ( 2*No.2 + Pete + T22K4 ) placed in the middle of the fleet gets MVP but not FS Ashigara lvl 135 with 106 FP ( 2*No.3 + Ro.43 + FuMo ) but with 1 luck less ( I fed her with 2 Maruyus and 4 Kaibokans so far ). It happens always when PvP enemy is single destroyer with horrendous level ( 100+ ) which is defeated with one attack. Is it luck stat or RNG?

I think I read once that Inazuma's manga by Yua. 

 

Saying that fandom destroys character I mean only that few of characters were reduced mainly to the NSFW content by artists ( Suzuya, Kashima and RO-500 are most notable examples which wonders me for long time. TBH I'm not suprised about  NSFW popularity of Atago and Takao because their personalities were matching this from start). Nothing more. SFW content is diffrent part. I should add that before.

I came into the KanColle fandom from the Touhou fandom, and if I hated characters because of how the fans interpreted them, well...there wouldn't be a single Touhou character I liked, basically.

Well, I'm never told that I hate any of character because fandom. Fandom can be good, bad, average, trash, awsome, different. Thats all. OFC I dislike many of KC shipgirls but it's because their personality / the way of presentation in game. I only was trying to told that some of characters have more R-18 content than others or R-18 content is majority of their fanworks, but it looks like I didn't succeed in this. If it has been so understood, then I'm sorry, my words wasn't clear enough.

Dropped another 24 cubes I accumulated on event construction. She was basically the only thing worthwhile that dropped but oh boy is that a consolation prize.

 

 

Also currently sitting at 13285 merits and with the rate that I'm getting those I'll soon have the necessary 20k for either Eldridge or South Dakota (unless Excercise MM keeps trolling me with all lvl 100 maximum LMB super rare stacked enemy fleets). I'm currently oggling South Dakota (double entendre intended) because Eldridge looks like a bit niche, plus I can always get her later.

 

Event farming is likewise progressing neatly. Considering I had extreme luck on my first round of cube spending and basically got everything except Zuikaku I'm basically guaranteed to walk away from this event with a full haul. Currently sitting on 3350 Emas and if this rate keeps up I'll have more than enough to exchange for Zuikaku plus other stuff of choice (Reppuu, and T4 techpacks would be picks number 2 and 3 respectively, then possible the oxygen torpedo if I get enough Emas).

Torp is nice but you'll be able to get those later a lot more easily via Core-Data exchange (whenever that hits EN). Still, if you want one now, go for it.

It's more like the 16"/45 Mark 6 are so good you'll never need any other gun on most BBs. Some with barrages when firing benefit from a faster reload

I like Kongou. I don't mind the hyperactive type, since at least she's honest to herself and doesn't force that onto others. Well, more than a hyperactive extrovert does by being herself. Kirishima's my favourite of those sisters, though. And I already have Bismarck and Gangut. Bismarck is my favourite battleship. She's just awesome, and fits the ship.

She's happy, helpful, and honest. Definitely one of the best Valentine's appearances. She also seems to like puns, which is a plus.

For context, Gotland had something like level 25 and was barely modernised, while both Poi and Kitakami triggered their torpedo cut-ins. Although the real cake among stolen MVPs was Akashi. Had a mid-level fleet many events ago when I first got her, but really, any of these ships should easily outshoot her. And no, it was not the auto-MVP for the main fleet flagship in a combined fleet if the battle moves to night, and I don't think aerial nodes existed as such back then. Maybe it's because she got damaged? It's always the damaged ship that gets MVP... Ever noticed that?

If there's a single DD in the enemy fleet, then it's entirely luck that determines who gets the MVP. Well, unless it's a high level one and you have low-level DDs and DEs and one actually competent ship.

I don't really care much about NSFW popularity. I do like Yuu more than Ro, though, and I treat them as different characters. Although the one thing I like the least about her is how fetishised tanlines are, especially for loli characters.

Kashima is indeed cute and useful, even if her stats aren't great as a CT. For me she most often takes up the ASW role when I need one more of those, and as a CT she often has preferential MM, I mean, routing.

 

Probably the best doujin featuring her is the one with Robba-san. Most of the fandom is represented by her past.

For me it's not so much that I hate them because of the fandom, but more because I already didn't like them, and then whenever I see fanworks of them it's even worse, so they just take space. It's kind of like watching a show, and an episode focusing on your favourite character comes up, and then the character you hate the most steals the spotlight anyway.

Concerning the game, I start to see some, atleast I think so, mistranslations pop up during the event.

I mean, I don't know chinese or japanese, but Zui talking about 80 carriers attacking during a cutscene was quite confusing

Kirishima is IMHO best among them. In case of Hiei I didn't like way in which she is portrayed and her ill siscon about Burnin-Rabu. If I will be her drawer she will be wearing different clothes than sisters ( modernizations ) but I will retain her tomboyish personality or even deepen it. But tbh I hate siscon.

 

Gangut - she is strange but if I have to choose one FBB that will be her for sure. Big Nachi.

Akashi is FS and it was possibly a Sub node? In that case when no shipgirl in fleet can attack subs FS will get MVP. I see this during this Event but I CAN BE WRONG.

I'm not telling here about this manga for sure but Her battle mania is one of the many reasons why she is my favorite character in Kantai Collection world. I got big sympathy for Myoko class cruisers since a very long time ( it's from my teenager years when I bought a book about this class ) and I enjoy the most her way of depiction in KanColle ( except stupid fandom creation of christmas cake but tbh her fandom is very tamed because quiet low popularity ). I like her voice, strong personality and she is possibly the most connected from this four cruisers with European history, she has really interesting overall history ( smuggling porn from England in 1937 is the most funny part ). She survived until very end sinking about week before end of war. Only what it's strange for me is that she doesn't includes British and German words in her statements like Hibiki, I-8 or burnin-rabu. She visited England and Germany in 1937.

I read that few days ago. She is very good in this work. Quiet sad but good. It's very nice to see something very different than only vulgar porn about her.

I like her too. Of course I will never give her ring or something but her quiet sad personality is very nice.  What it's more funny I can't even stand ZuiZui personallity - I hate tsun's almost as strong as siscons. My most favourite CVB will be Taihou. Her line about Sakio Komatsu is very touching for me. It's one of few lines tht are just great. 

 

I very like sad and depressing characters, most times they are infinitely more interesting that this with extravertic or happy personalities.

12 episodes in the series, with that battle you recall being episode 12 between Maho and Miho. Then there was a film, which is two hours of excellence! If you haven't watched it, go and watch it now. There are some spin off episodes and an extra episode covering the fight with Anzio. Finally, there is a second season (of sorts) called GuP: Das Finale. There will be six episodes I think, and each is about 45 minutes long. Only one is released so far, with another due the end of this year. After that rounds up, who knows? The manga will keep going (GuP Ribbon Warrior is worth a look) and maybe they can make a third series or another film at some point. It would be sad if they called it quits after Das Finale, especially as the whole Tankathalon thing hasn't been explored yet. But then I guess they ended Arpeggio of Blue Steel quickly, despite the manga still going strong.

Kinda depends what you're facing really, though in general I wouldn't worry about that too much. What really matters are the base stats of the guns.

Ever since I picked up VC1 from a steamsale, I'm a fan of the series, despite only having played VC1.

 

Same here actually. Bought it on a whim because the artstyle looked great. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
