Don't know how many runs I made on this map, but basicly evertime I could do it (and had the oil) I did it.

But I was quite lucky to get both, without having copies of the first dropped.

I've 2 reason to farm them:

 

I wanted to make them my main carriers of my 1st fleet, to replace Yorktown and Saratoga.

I want to have every ship in this game, despite how "useless" some might be.

 

Considering the next event will include the cranes, my second fleet will also get new CVs, which will sadly drop out the bunnies.

Not really, as an elite ship, her droprate is properly not as low as the SRs.

BUt you can only get her by grinding so far, so it can take some time if you're unlucky.

Somewhat. General consensus is that other ships such as Unicorn, Shouhou or Arizona are better as they deal damage while also healing more.

Repair ships are usually brought for increased ammo capacity and the emergency repair kits in later maps. Then again if you've kept up with your leveling you won't really need them.

oh another thing i like to ask is what is san diego good for? I got two of her now just not sure if i want to replace z23 with her however.

 

i also got takao as well im not sure how good she is.

San Diego has had, for the longest time, a terrible reputation - hailed as the prime example of rarity not being an indication of quality, her reputation is somewhat deserved, considering her main claim to glory is tons of AA (to the detriment of the rest of her offensive stats) when AA is only really needed in W12, a steep Oil price tag and a tendency to appear in crafting whenever you don't want her to... but that's not all there is to it.
The usual claim is that San Diego can't do anything to surface enemies; if you were to use her as a normal CL this would be correct, as her FP is low and her Gun Efficiency is worse. However, her barrage can dish out surprising amounts of damge and she can mount DD guns, which means she can spam said powerful barrage; moreover, while her Torpedo stat is abysmal, her Torpedo Efficiency is good enough, meaning she can benefit a lot from auxiliary torpedoes.
Does all this redeem her, then? Not really, even in this fashion, you'd need to manually control her and you'd need lots of high-end gear to get her to perform properly. If you're not expecting planes and you don't care about her, feel free to scrap her as you always did; if you do, then Sandy might just be what you need.

 

Use Takao. She's way better for general purpose play.

If you're having trouble with aircraft tho, San Diego WILL wipe the skies clean like no other. Not really needed tho until later maps where aircraft do actually become pretty brutal.

AL feels like overdesigned bait as a whole.

You can made jokes from me but her personality and voice is just awsome. Welcome home Sad destroyer. I always liked this kind of characters. I'm almost sure that was after reading as teenager of '"Johannes Angelos" ( it's english title, in my language this book has diffrent title ) by Mika Waltari. About 50 runs in E-5J was worth all spended resources. I was screaming like crazy when she show up. Additionally I got second Pudding:

Why scrapping Maestrale ? 

She's a thousand time cuter than Libeccio, and got, like Libeccio, high ASW stats when remodeled. You never know when you need more ASW DD. 

Nelson is interesting for her special mechanics, but she's nothing more than a Nagato, stats wise, like Warspite.
