I noticed you can get a super-rare drop on the Z-event stage 3 ... anyone knows what ship that is (I'd suspect Prince of Wales)?

 

In other news, left-mouse-buttoning all my ships actually did the trick (plus my lucky Illistrious drop certainly also helps with shutting down all those aircraft waves xD).

Even had the event drop my the a new CV that looks neat:

Those are all the past events from CN for reference. Don't think much will change when they hit EN. Just click on the event you want and you can check what drops on which map.

 

Ark Royal is one of those designs where I don't know whether KC or AL is better. They're both pretty good.

AL Arks lines tho.... Well, just make sure you have the MPs on speed dial. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fun fact (not really helpful for you but most certainly a potential source of giggles):

Just today I wondered what that little bit with the "easy" on it is and experimentally clicked on it, only to be greeted by a mission screen with me having 11 out of 12 missions completed to get a Portland (plus all the mission rewards).

 

I had no idea.

I've already completed it and used the Portland I got to 2nd LMB my Portland for the dorm reward (the [REDACTED] Indianapolis wall scrolls).

I think the devs mentioned the quests in an update note last week, from there I already knew about them.

Has decent stats and a monstrous debuff (that however is usually only useful against bosses because only bosses tend to last longer than a few seconds).

If you're not spending medals on something else, you may as well get her. Personally I run her in my main fleet along with Cleve and Montpelier (the latter is upcoming content).

Sorry, I completed Portland missions and the tab disappeared. Got no idea about the missions @IJN_Kitakami is talking about.

Helena has a radar ability that increases the damage the enemies take for a short time.

According to a post I read on reddit, it scales better than party buffs.

She's been a very useful front-runner for me for a while (I got her from light construction quite early).

Ok, bought Helena. Don't need to exchange for enterprise as i already got one. But now I can put Helena with Cleve and Phoenix instead of Juneau.

She actually dropped for me on a Light Construction queue.

 

Not quite sure if I want to level her though, her skill seems pretty much useful only on boss fights that last long enough and so far I haven't found a boss that survived long after a double CV strike, so unless future bosses get ridiculously tanky ...

Unless you punch above your weight, no. So far, most bosses weren't much of a match, but with my Leander powergrind I doubt I'm representative.

Yes, they are, especially retrofit ships like Leander. Once more, quality of a good waifu.

ahh right i see. thought it was all about super rares and elites, nice too see a game that allows you to use the more common ships later on.

Also grooming my Leander.

 

Decent dps as CL, good AA, excellent torpedo stats, a very useful CL/CA buff skill, will be able to provide smokescreens for additional team utility and with a Kai in the JP version (so EN Kai shouldn't be too far out) her base stats are going to at least keep up.

 

She'll definately earn her place in my RN setups!

It isn't too far out. It already got announced, as was Ajax and Long Island retrofits.

I loved playing Pokemon on my Gameboy when I was younger.

 

By the way, on diamond usage I recommend prioritizing in that order:

Dorm slots (although the second floor is not needed imo, afaik only first floor gives passive EXP gain, 2nd floor only regens morale) > dock space > equipment slots

Only dorm slots are absolutely mandatory, ship and equipment slots should both be bought only if needed. Save those diamonds otherwise, you never know if you'll run out of cubes during an event.

(If you're out to buy rings, you may wanna wait for a sale that gives you 2 rings at a discount. Dunno when one is going to hit EN tho.)

 

I'm interested in pricing for the EN version and whether it's the same for the CN version btw. 98 RMB (~12€) will buy you 980 diamonds.

 

Also don't remember whether ingame tutorials cover this, so just in case anyone doesn't know, this

gives you access to what I call the trophy room where you can grab goodies if you collect and LB certain ships. Can be diamonds, equipment, furniture for the dorm or even ships.

E.g. collecting and LB'ing Brooklyn, Phoenix and Helena gives you Wichita.

Maybe it's just a newcomer promotion in the ship (i.e.: first such purchase) but there is a 2 ring discount on EN right now.

 

In other news, RNG smiled upon me when I went for the 2.2 stage specifically to try and farm for a ship. Dropped on the first run after the boss:

She's going to replace my California in my US fleet. Only question I have right now, how low can you get her MB reload with US MB as her healing skill is tied to her reload? Currently I'm cheating a little and put a 381mm double turret on her which basically shaves off 10 seconds reload, but it just feels wrong

It's best to ignore armament nationality, unless there's some synergy (e.g. Graf Zeppelin buffs her own Iron Blood planes, Edinburgh buffs AP guns, with RN CL guns being good AP guns). Twin Mk5 406 mm is likely best you can get while staying Eagle Union and it still has way more reload and shoots AP.
