Yorktown is pretty solid for starting CV. Also quite tanky. I use her as flagship, because of her skill that restores hp if it falls too low, so she has effectively like 3k hp atm. which is unsurpassed in my fleet, I think. Maybe Eugen has more, but typically the best ships I currently have are just a bit over 2000 (Full LMB Leander is 2.4k).

The thing is, subhime cost only a bucket, a bit of morale and around 20 fuel. Retreating as her node is only annoying if you are short on buckets or run boss support. That's overall very manageable. But she's annoying.

And yeah, who vares about the debuff. My light STF still bully the boss without it.

I give up with E-5 P2 after few other unsucesfull runs so J-node farming started. So far I get Noshiro ( scrapped after taking EQ - I got other high level CL's and I didn't like Agano's at all ), Kiyoshimo ( only I must get Asashimo to collect Kimura Force ) and Prinz Eugen. Very nice. After I regain fuel and bauxite next runs will be done. I hope for Hayashimo, Gotland and Bismarck and this Event will be a full success.

These bm sister is good for saving oil on farming operation in 3-4, 6-4 and 8-4.And BM is a kind of small ship with big gun for coast support

BMs are Monitors. One of those hull classifications noone knows, because of how rarely they were used. The BM designation in the USN goes all the way up to BM-10 and the ships were retired before WWII.

 

Erebus and Terror are two British monitors and basically are budget units. They cost almost nothing to run, they have no hp and no defenses (so they die fast if the frontline cannot protect them), but they have a chance to trigger a barrage every so often, which murders everything in front of them. Later HMS Abercrombie joins them, I think.

 

And yes, like in WWII, not everyone makes it through alive.

Event is finished for me boys. It took a huge amount of time, and I basically dropped all rare ships this boss had to offer (even got Asagumo at node M and Fujinami before she finally dropped).

 

My final drop list is here. Tbh I should go back to E-4 and farm Zara Littorio Roma but I just don't have the motivation. The last two days of farming were plentiful tho, with Ark, Gotland and Warspite dropping within a small number of runs.

 

 

In a way, this was a good thing Hatsuzuki took her time, because I wouldn't have had the patience to continue farming after she dropped. She offered kindly to me the opportunity to get a load of rare ships.

 

And I can finally proudly say THAT I HAVE A DUCK.

So, I was thinking about upgrading Shouhou's heal skill, but decided against it acknowledging that she would be replaced as soon as I get Unicorn.

Literally within a minute of going from the academy to the 'build' option to check what I had built the night before.

She is such a little sweetie that it hurts my heart.

Do the experienced players have any suggestions for a low-resource consuming CV that would be a good combo with the Monitors? Or just a useful solocarrier that doesn't need a specific party set up to get the most use out of? I'm debating making my 3rd fleet either a low-resource Beaver Team for farming maps or slapping Ning Hai and Ping Hai in there as soon as I get Ping Hai...

Speaking of Ping Hai...I'm getting tempted to buy more gems for that mid-autumn skin.

Unicorn or Shouhou. Unicorn gives a reload buff and heal. If you run non-LMB ships, that helps keep them useful. also...

Spend those drills. You get far more of them than you'll ever need. Pretty much the same thing with flamethrowers in KC.

Best waifu is the best solo CV in this game. And one of, if not the best CV in general, really.

She has also retained that status despite so many other ships being introduced, so leveling Enterprise is definitely worth it. If you have her ofc.

Congrats on both Ark and Yahagi. I have the four Agano sisters since last event but only ever took the trouble to level Yahagi for now.

Thanks for that. I've already LMB (limit break?) most of the Fletcher class twice for that Beaver Tag (currently on +6 and equipped to Indy), but hopefully their oil costs should still be fairly low...

...Not that I have any problem with oil supplies, mind you. I frequently manage to get it to the cap while I've bottomed out on cash twice now. The only time I've not had enough oil for something was when I tried to do one of those research missions (the ones that give 8000/12000 EXP) and didn't realise they cost 1000 oil...

It costs less than some other ships, but still 8 oil for max LMB Fletcher vs 2 base.

That's for max LMB, Fletcher was the only one not required for Beaver Tag, so presently she only has 1 LMB - it was the other two (Ausburne and Thatcher being the most likely candidates) that will be more expensive.
