Most RFs with AP ammo are pretty solid against armored enemies. 9A-91 of course has a really good night battle skill that will allow her to reliably damage even armored enemies. Grenades also do pretty decent damage. There are also some cheesy strats where you stack damage buffs from HG tiles and skills on a fully upgraded NTW-20 who will then 1shot the boss with her skill. 

Tried the fourth map once. Followed the instructions in the guide. Was searching the last circled in position for Ouroboros with my boss killing echelon, found nothing. Next turn boss shows up at my spawn and ends the 5k strength echelon guarding it... This didn't entirely go according to Keikaku.

 

Using M14, FAL, SIG-510, M38 and C96. Absolutely not sure whether that is sufficient. C96 is just there as flarebot basically, to give M14 her accuracy, while FAL is decent, SIG is the best AR I got levelled apart from FAL, M38 is kinda just there as tank and has a stun grenade for non-boss enemies. Am considering just grinding Springfield and Mosin to lvl 70, so I can use them to snipe.

Springfield and Moist Nugget are pretty decent, better with their special equips. M14 is a really good DPS RF though, and cheap as well.

Honestly if you can get a night combat efficiency rating of 14-15k you should be good.

I took it, the circles meant Ouroboros just stays in there and has campy movement patterns like the bosses before her. Considering sending some lower strength echelon on the journey to search for Ouroboros and drop the main echelon whenever she shows up. Also avoids attrition.

I can kill the boss with a ~12,9k echelon. My tank pretty much always gets critically damaged tho.

I thoroughly recommend the Ouroboros "cheat" finder posted on that page. Hasn't failed me yet.

Ouroboros wiped my echelon out and survived on a sliver of hp. Will have to work on that. Thankfully, we get like a few weeks to finish this.

 

Btw, is grenade damage lessened by armour? I know it deals damage, but when you have a high multiplier, that is a given. Also asking because for example incendiary grenade would be vastly less useful if it just gets soaked up byarmour, as I was considering exchanging M38 for Skorpion (as flashbang is useless vs boss and Skorpion has higher evasion).

Okay, so I'm just browsing this afternoon after work, trying to relax after an arse of a day and I decide to check out the designs of the French ships from AL, not expecting anything to really appeal to me...

Do you guys remember a while back, we were commenting on the AL character designs (I'm talking half a year ago), and I mentioned that the art style of whoever designed AL Atago and Takao reminded me of Oyari Ashito's art style, but I wasn't entirely certain it was him?

Emile Bertin is 100%, I mean definitely, without question, designed by Oyari Ashito. And I can tell this just by looking.

This is a big thing for me, as I love Oyari's art. Simply seeing that he's a character artist for AL is seriously making me consider downloading the English version of the game instead of playing one of the other F2P games I have (Fire Emblem Heroes or...WoWS ).

I am not joking.

I love Oyari's art this much.

Honestly, my favourite from the French designs is actually Surcouf. Cheery, nice design and kind of looks a bit more mature than your average AL sub. Maybe because Surcouf was a big submarine... Dunkerque and Forbin are nice too though... even if the equipment of Dunkerque and Jean Bart reminds me of the lulzy french camos in WoWS.

 

Also, while I'm typically not too interested in WWII German stuff (I'd guess due to personal background), I actually like the German cruisers for whatever reasons. AL Hipper is easily one of my favourite characters from Azur Lane and made me start the German cruiser line to get prepared for AL collab (even though back then Hipper was kind of known as underwhelming). Finished the grind towards Roon today (as I'm aiming for Hindenburg for CB, given I'm a disaster with rental Moskva, clan is helping me with division play to get me there asap, which is nice of them, but certainly makes me look better in Hipper than I am) and bought a Pudding yesterday (as Prinz Eugen is usually the only German ship I have some interest in).

 

Now trying to actually get good in my Germans, because I feel ashamed for my solo Hipper stats and it certainly isn't a bad ship. Just, I really need to get better at this. Now, for some waifu tax... Hipper and Eugen art was what got me interested in AL. Not playing though, because I simply cannot tend to too many games at the same time and I try to stay with Warships and Girls Frontline most of all. I wouldn't be able to stand another grind hell.

and Roon, who really seems like a menacing beast of a cruiser, which makes me feel even more compelled to try get better at getting an actually decent solo winrate in this ship.

Will Hindenburg maybe one day get an equivalent as well...? (I doubt it, but one can dream)

 

And then I recall that German BBs and to a degree German cruisers are kind of among the most foolproof of their class and while I'm derping around with those, others master stuff like CVs where I gave up as soon as I got RJ. I'd say, one day... but CV rework likely arrives sooner and god knows what it'll be like then.

Also, seemingly there are AL camos in ST, which seem like permacamos (judging from the bonuses they give) for most of the AL equivalents (only ships without camo are Belfast and Aurora). I do wonder what that'll be like. Also, still waiting for chibi Hipper flag.
