Reported for what?

A few minutes ago i had a game in my Baltimore doing a quite good match, when returning to port i found 5 reports to me... I don't know why they reported me because i did a normal game without being misbehavior in chat or other weird things. It's the first time that this thing happens to me. What the hell is this?

You had a good game, obviously the enemy were just salty and they reported you out of spite. Happens all to often, don't worry about it, it has no real meaning anyway.

From a quick scan of this forum, it appears to be for using HE against BBs and setting fire to them.

I can guarantee the reports would have come from the guys you killed, Like MTM said, Don't worry about it.

 

From a quick scan of this forum, it appears to be for using HE against BBs and setting fire to them.

 

I fire HE  as well as AP, it would depend what angle my target is.

Enemy decided you "must" have been using hax, own team get annoyed because they decided it was their kill, you name it.

Karma is the stupidest thing in this game, and I'm 99% sure the report button is only there to give ragers/idiots some feeling of vindication without wasting an actual person's time.

Maybe an allied BB who thought you should be his personal lap-dog and sail in front of him to screen for torpedoes or something like that?  The enemy Kagero managed to get 3 ships so maybe one of those thought it was your fault they didn't press WSAD?

 

 

Edit: maybe, I don't know, a premium T7 BB who's played fewer than 200 games, that might be a likely suspect.

It's like once i got 150k dmg and 7 kills on Colorado. Came back to port and had 5 reports. Most likely salty victims or jealous teammates who didnt get the kills.

I used to have high karma, and I was actually quite 'proud' of it. Then I heard I was getting forumite's boosts every game I met one.. So I asked them to stop, and now I'm usually around 10-20 Karma and I don't even care about it. I rather have zero Karma but the feeling I'm honest to myself.

 

Btw, isn't it 'odd' that WG removes the +1 -1 from the forums because it was 'toxic' but then adds it the game

 

And as you said, 'plays well' ... I see so many good players who say they aren't complimented for being good players and carrying their teams... no ofc not, because they get reported for being good. Because yes, being good also means you know better then most of the others. People don't like being less then someone else, so they show their spite through the reports. Good system Comrade, well thought out and not at all exactly the same as the +1 -1 buttons we had on the forums

What is Karma? 10/10 IGN rating for most useless feature .For me Moskva got my karma to 0 since bbs are salty that a cruiser can deliver citadels.Dont get affect by it ,read that move along ,dont care

I have 55 karma. Karma is just a balance of how nice people are feeling. I would suggest that karma is harder to get the higher tier you play. Because high tier is full of:

 

- jaded good players who know compliments don't do anything

- angry try hards who think they are better than they are and that having a high tier ship entitles them to something.

Did you kill either of the players in the enemy division? I suspect you did and they reported you for it ;)

Exactly my point. I think my record (for the duration of one day) was something like 5 karma, but it went down to 0 pretty fast. People don't like it and report if i play good, people report it if i call them potato when they do stupid crap, people report because their wife refused sex, people report because the weather outside is not how they like it. I honestly give a crap if they report or not. It got me chat banned for 24h a couple of times, but i also give a damn about this.

You are at least correct on one thing. I always report anyone who uses word potato on others. Because you have zero need to do that. Advises are ok of course. Saying you are potato to someone is not an advice.

 

I am just hoping that those guys trigger the chat ban limit at some point and stay silent.

Don't worry. Sometimes I got 21 reports after game just because I had FTD division in game. Karma system don't work in EU.

Only 5 reports in one game ? Amateur. Come back when you got 21 and a 24 hours chat ban. I recommend wiping out a 3 man boy division with a cv (cv have a built-in higher base chance of being reported ^^).

Sorry man but 21 reports is just not possible to be handed out without some legit reason. Your own team would not report you for whatever damage or kills you inflict on whatever enemy division or team. For that many reports, you have to been 'active' in chat and not in a good way.

It's possible. 1 player can give you 7 reports, so one division can give you 21 reports. In one battle i got detonation with 1 hit from FTD and I wrote on chat "Fun wargaming omni mechanic ", after battle i got 15 reports from his division. Second battle with FTD division i got 21 reports without writing anything in chat to enemy team (they was in enemy team). Just because they don't like me So don't say it's impossible.

 

Afaik only the first report counts, and that subsequent reports from one player against another player don't stack? 

 

I can give you seven reports, and you will only get one ( eg I wasted six of my reports on you which don't count for anything ). 

 

edit: this might have happened in the absolute beginning of the report system being in place, but I am 200% confident this should no longer be possible. And for the exact same reason, the scenario you're describing is just utter nonsense ( if true, don't get me involved man ).

All reports stack. Last week I had my guild member in enemy team, I gave him 7 "good job", and he had information in port that 7 ppl recommended him. Checked it many times, it works (tested both "good job" and "report as bot", never tested "report for chat behaviour", so I don't know if it works).

 

It might be that only chat misbehavior doesn't stack, you got me doubting myself
