People acusing me of cheating

Don't you just love it when that happens? Just now I was called out and reported as a cheater again! I am so proud of myself.

I hereby gladly accept the "I think you cheat" award. I would like to say thanks to my mom and dad whose support, caring and nurturing enabled me to become the person I am today. I use my device for automatic aiming and course prediction a lot, but most people call this device a brain.

I am sad to see two more karma points leave my precious karmacookiebox, but whenever a grieving child steals one of my karma cookies all I can do is laugh about it.

Have you ever been called a cheater? And what was your response?

Have a good one today my fellow captains! See you next wave around.

I had such comments once or twice. I can't exactly remember. I take it as a form of compliment and then move on, usually immediatly forgetting the poor player who had to resort to unfounded accusations to comfort himself.

Equip a Lo Yang with the hydro consumable = instant accusations for being a cheater....

I just played a Ranked Battle with my hydro equipped Lo Yang.... the enemy Lo Yang was raging because i did see him in his smoke where he could not see me.

Yup..... he was not aware of the fact he could equip his own Lo Yang with the hydro consumable... (and those players play Ranked Battles...)

I dub it the "N00bel Prize".

Only had the honour a handful times in this game yet.

Nah. They usually cry about cheat when they get hit by torps they didn't see, when they get citadel'd...

OR when something involving aircrafts happens around them.

I once was called a cheater for "making a floatplane disappear".
Yup.
That... actually happened.

Although I have to admit, my fighter's magic skills were pretty impressive. They did make the floatplane disappear... =3

You gotta ask how can one get SO mad over a mere floatplane tho ~

You are never going to have any kind of intelligent or meaningful discussion of any kind with those people so either ignore them or go full troll to milk their delicious salty tears. I have had a few good laughs out of it, the main thing is that you really don't seriously engage those people since they obviously don't want to hear/are incapable of hearing that they are wrong or actually learn core game mechanics and the only thing you will achieve is you losing your faith in humanity. I have been called a cheater for such incredible hacks as launching torps in a Kuma or for stealthfiring while in a Hatsuharu.

This.

It can be downright cathartic, nevermind hilarious.

Today I had an Atlanta that somehow got miffed at me for killstealing ... the funny thing about it was that the guy was on the enemy team and got legitimately pissed that I took a potshot at him in absence of better targets and killed him (954 damage  ). I teased him about it each time I got another kill (for three total) and ultimately ended with "now I'm going to steal your base too" when I capped their base out with my division mate. #1 in XP on my team, much killstealing, such wow.

I never knew that not only do some people feel entitled to a kill, but also some people feel entitled to be killed by a specific player. :D

Every time someone accuses me of cheating and I feel trollish, I just reply that I will sell them my cheats at a discount...

Other times I will just laugh and thank them for the compliment.

Yes, indeed, most of the time I offer my cheats for sale.. and I've gotten people to actually pm me

What do you charge for the complete package?

Seeing as there only two ways to get my Jolly Roger in ranked is to either cheat the crapout of this game, or to pay a player who's better than me real coin to get me to rank one.

The option of throwing enough crapat the wall and hope some of it will stick is no real option.

Don't have neither the time nor the patience to play a trillion games to progress through, what can be easily called a potato soup, in a game mode that's supposed to be about outplaying the opponent, not outsmarting the own team to actually be useful.

Ontopic: i like it when i get called cheater, simply it proves my points that folks:

1: can't be arsed to actually learn the game mechanics

2: are not smart enough to grasp the game mechanics

3: couldn't tell the game mechanics apart from a cheat even when they'd studied the subject in Harvard for a decade

4: wouldn't notice a game mechanic even if it would bite them in the nuts

*snip*

You get accused of kill stealing even by the enemy? I have to remember that for the next time we division up ... :hiding::trollface:

n/c that would be suitable for this forum.

On topic:  Its sadly part of the game. I love it the most when shell travel over 20 seconds to the impact, but its me cheating because I cant plausibly landing the shot. Noobs just have to know, because unlike me, they lob the entire game shells from 20+ kms away and cant hit shi7. Also its never about the fact that 20 + (gotta aim too) seconds of straight lining even allowed the shells to hit in the first place.

To sum it up:

Being good isn't needed, actually being good usually just puts you in better positions. The 'cheat' accusations have more correlation with RNGezus than skill... well I mean positive skill, ofc the main reason is the lack of skill on the one making the accusations :D

Well, my typical response to killsteal whining is "kill them faster then" but I can hardly tell the enemy "die faster then" or can I? Sounds a bit odd in my opinion ...

Well ...... there are some borderline cases. Imagine being a new player, imagine having your first T 4 BB after grinding trough the T 3s. Imagine reading up upon dispersion throughout the distances, and how rng influences everything etc.

Imagine playing this:

  Ship_PJSB003_Myogi_1912.png

which translates to this:

 h94F7F8E3

and at the same time seeing the dispersion of one salvo after another of this, right next to you:

Ship_PRSB001_Nikolay_I.png

Then very next match you have the "pleasure" of playing against one, not driven by a complete moron.

You still have to be a special snowflake to be yelling "cheat" at another player ingame (instead of flaming WG, like you should), but this thing is so disgustingly OP p2w that it very well might be considered a cheat sold by WG, considering the tier, the performance and the MM it possesses.

You're only telling ME this because I have 300+ games in the thing, aren't you :hiding:

5. wouldn't recognize a game mechanic, even if it painted itself purple, then danced around on a harpsichord, singing "game mechanics are back again" (Courtesy of one Mr. Blackadder, somewhen during christmas time)

Well ... I knew you had "more than a few" games in it, but honestly didnt think of that at the time of typing that other post.

The thing is that that when I think: "OP p2w", things like Operator, Gremlin, p2w-zov etc immediately come to mind. If you then think of explainable, albeit not excusable noob-behaviour you will again land at T 4 and 5 and lower tiers in general.

The same reason I am cutting some slack if I get second-rowed in low-tier co-op (friendly torps should count as potential damage too ....) and just give a reminder to to not torp from second range and range of their torps in general.

The same is not true if some wallet warrior in a Tirpitz costs me 40 k+ (half of the battlefee in co-op is cashback, but there is no compensation for team damage) + the lost xp for the first win of the day, just because he is not capable of reading the range of his torps - usually after lots of battles, refrain from second row torping, and ofc has to kill that 20 km enemy battleship with 6 km torps.

Got called a cheater for shooting "through" an island.

Told him I was shooting over it (I was in Atlanta).

He told me it's not possible.

The irony?

He was also in an Atlanta.

I was twice called a cheater. The second time was about invisifire (some people don't get that's possible even at mid-high tiers) but my first time was actually much more amusing by the sheer ridiculousness of the accusation. I was sailing Błyskawica and - believe it or not - managed to consistently land hits on a non-maneuvering BB sailing more-or-less towards fleeing me, at the range of around 10-11km (I didn't really put the effort to invisifire at him since the tactical situation suggested that nobody else could really shoot at me there - and that guy pretty mych ignored my presence after our previous encounter a bit earlier where he wasted two salvos scoring one overpen).

So, the guy finally burned to death (I must admit I was farming hits for a mission and the match was going really good so I didn't really try to finish it quickly with a torp run). And, having burned after sailing in a straight line under constant barrage from a good-velocity DD guns, he went on to accuse me of cheating. I mean, if I was invisible, I could understand (because knowledge of game mechanics is for nerds). If he was mad about HP and fire damage - that would be just another whiny BB. Finally, if he tried maneuvering and found out that it's mostly impossible to significantly reduce number of hits from Błyskawica at that range - at least his frustration would be somewhat understandable. But he did nothing of the sort. I could literally be in a US DD at max range and I'd still hit everything the dispersion would allow - it doesn't take a good shot to find your mark when the target alters neither his speed nor course.

So, while I did get accused of cheating, it amused me rather than felt like a compliment. I mean, I literally did nothing to deserve such praise - anyone with a quarter of a brain and a couple guns on his ship could burn him to death the way I did.
