WOWS T10 press accounts - why, oh God why?

... do you do this WG?! Just had 4 games with such accounts and by default the team that has them on their side lost. What is even worse, one match enemy team had Essex press account. Needles to say how much rage this induced.

 

Why can't you show this with lower tier ships where skill level is not so high, can it not be done that way? Why do you allow them in Random battles to begin with? Why not coop instead?

 

Its like having 11 vs. 12 players. God forbid if more of them end up on your team, because even the worst players play better then these, hell Bots would do better (4/4 games I've had them today they were either AFK or just as good)...

That's a little overkill. Oh, and they are not press accounts, i don't even know if the press accounts still exist, those are from the events, like the Barcelona (i think?) one that is going now.

Well i had enemy Hakuryu press account. I wouldn't even imagine what was going on in their team chat after he went in the middle of the map and didn't even use repair after setting 4 fires on him. Fastest arsonist i've ever earned

That is exactly what I had seen in those 4 games. 3 Yamatos and 1 Essex with such a name. All ended up on the bottom of the score board, no matter the team.

When I saw 4 in my first game yesterday(3 on my side 1 on the other)I thought it might be a good weekend to have a break ;-) I really don't get it chances are you will get your [edited]handed to you, so what's in it for WG AT THE VERY LEAST have them simply play each other or just co-op.

Well,i guess it all comes down to how many press accounts exist and how often they are used.

If they are a lot and are used often,then they need to be restricted to t5/6.

Not sure that I phrased it correctly. But by judging how they were playing it seemed that the complete newbies, not familiarized with the game or game mechanics were using them.

 

Losing a Yama on your team due to such account is perhaps doable, but losing a high tier CV?! Absolute salt fest on the team with said account. I felt sorry for them.

 

Bots would have been 10 times more useful to their team than people allowed to test the game with such accounts.

Why give them t10 anyway? It's not representative of the meat of the game, that would be t5-t6. You're not even supposed to be able to play t10 exclusively due to the costs. I can't think of why WG would have people play t10 as a teaser either. Suppose you try it that way and then go play the game for real and you have to start with some clunker from the 1900s.

If WG has a booth at some convention or show people there can play with these press accounts and join battles in tier 10 ships without any knowledge of the game, or the demo computers launch games without any players present resulting in AFK accounts in battle. For some reason WG thinks it's a great idea to let these press accounts join public games.

How about we all make some new second accounts (is this legit? never read ToS )?. WG_press.account_xxxxx. No need to pay for changing our main accounts or anything

I was at the Chatham event recently and WG had setup the computers to play Co-op. When I had a go I played a Co-op game but found it not satisfying so changed it into a random battle allowing me to show off HMS Belfast. Admittedly I did forget to reset back to Co-op so if a complete noob say a 10 year old folowed striaght after me, could get dropped into the main EU server. Then again when my son tried, the WG guy was on the ball and advised him to stick with the Emden on Co-op.
