The extra "Sunday"

I've been wondering all evening why it feels like a Sunday in-game, now in my previous game I know. Apparently today is a German holiday, and "the casuals" are out in force. Man the things I've seen today. Two Tirpitzes without their Camo on even. A group of cruisers coming to a halt after they killed a CV, to farm the remaining airplanes while their teammates really needed their help. I've seen attackships on fire at the shoulder of Orion, oh wait that was something else...

Server population has been 4-5k above average in the afternoon. Tells you a lot about the size of the German community.

Today has just been silly, I'm not sure why I even continued playing. I was looking forward to a Monday, no special event going on, calm good games. But alas.

It was the enemy battleships slowly going backwards, then forwards, then backwards again in the same spot. I now know it is a hypnotic ploy to gently send you to sleep rendering you hopeless.......

 

Yup, more craziness but on both sides, had one battle where one cruiser went on a team killing frenzy taking out 2 allies before another ally sent him to the bottom rendering himself pink, then another ally, a DD, then went berserk killing another ally..... crazy day indeed.

I would like to hope they are all people who forgot to reapply it on one occasion and are not playing a Prem ship without any bonuses!!

Cruisers turning 180 degrees as soon as the match start aren't helpfull at all.

Hm..I was one of the Germans yesterday and had a good win rate at all.

But ...probably you are right. There is no link between your win rate and your performance.

Once saw an Atago without any camo - when I pointed it out the player replied "I don't need it". And sure enough the camo wouldn't have made much of a difference

I've gone into battles with premiums without cammo, just because I was using some other cammo to help retrain a captain or something, and then forgot to put the old cammo back on when I was done. Usually the impact of not having a cammo on a CA or BB isn't that large anyway. A DD without cammo though is an idiot, since concealment is such a key factor ( VMF DD's not so much.. ). And yes, that means I been an idiot taking a Sims/Blys/Gremmy out without cammo

I had that with a CV player in a still-in-the-balance ranked battle.  I said I was going to sink the enemy CV because I was alone with it and closing fast (Anshan with engine boost and the 5% speed boost from flags can shift) and he attacked the CV with his planes anyway.  Then he sent in his fighters to mop up the enemy DBs and TBs.  I berated him saying his fighters should now spot the enemy fleet.  At least he took notice of that.

I don't understand all this complaining about 'casuals' ruining your games. Are you aware that the enemy team has 12 slots to be filled with idiots, while your own merely has 11, provided you yourself aren't one of them ?
​I guess if the enemy has lots of potato freighters people assume their own superior skill saved the day .
​Sure, it's frustrating, when you lose despite playing well, but at least for me this is balanced by the games where I mess up big time an still get carried by the team. So here's a big thank you to all of you out there who helped me get undeseved wins, when I failed hard!

And again the fact is than anyone can play this game anyway they want unless they break game rules (and possibly get sanctioned/banned to prevent further rule breaking) and only thing anyone can do about it is to quit playing themselves if they do not like this.

 

And that is the way it should be. Nobody as individual player have no way of to forcing own views to anyone else. And more importantly no individual player has moral right to even do try to do so.

Please open a new Threat if u experience such behaviour on a holiday of another nation.

lol. my apologies to the Germans, and anyone else that felt casual or offended. There is nothing wrong about playing casually, I probably should've written "casuals" but I was tired and going to bed. I have a clan in WoT, and we're all casual players. Stats range from this to that end, but everyone knows what the game and objective is about and tries their best to play it. When you meet, as I said, people that kill a CV then stop their engines to farm airplanes they do not play the game at all they just boosting their own stats and screw the rest of the team while they do that. That was just one example. If you know what the game is about and you try your best to play it that way, I have no trouble with that. But if you're sailing in circles doing f-all then I do have a problem with that in pvp mode.
