I'm a bit dissapointed because I had a great damage and killed a DD, damaged BBs and almost killed the CV without recieving any damage and still lost credits. Am I supposed to loose credits all the time with good games like this, what will happen if I get killed and do half the damage I got in this game? -200K credits or so? Its supposed that killing planes is having good rewards with this patch and I didnt even see that happening, killed 20planes this game...

Credits and XP depend on the damage you dealt ( % of enemy) and the difference in tier.

You were Tier9 in a game with basicallly tier7s in it. So credits will be low for the damage you dealt.

Plus we cant see if you used prem camo, prem consumeables and stuff wich can sum up to another 60k of credits.

hmm think they need to adjust the algorithm for CV's it should be different to that of other classes, as you are not expected to brawl with it lol

50.000 is a positive number.

Also given your xp and damage stats, it's clear that you were just farming damage on high hp targets.

He isn't running premium account, hence his result is -27k

Would be good if we could see if any prem consumables / camo were uses, though.

That's my point, it's his option to play for free, and even then he's basicly breaking even more or less.

The economy is built around you breaking even, or at least earning credits with premium. It's encouraging you to buy it to earn credits through all the tiers. It's a similar situation in WoT. Thus players who don't have a premium account would rack up a lot of games in lower tiers, usually in T5 & 6 to earn credits. Of course having a premium ship helps too. Basically the game, being a F2P is all about finding ways of making the player want to drop money on the game. Hence why you'll never earn a lot in high tier battles.

Free suggestion:

Since the repair fee is fixed, it is a VERY good idea to give up your ship near the end of the match.

TANK damage also reward you with credit, so if you throw your ship away at end of the match you would earn positive credit.

And thanks to new economical change.

WHAT a #NICE# change

Well Done WG

:P

I didnt use any premium camo/flags and only premium damage control. I usually get a lot of profits with Essex and Lexington but this game just made me question what happened since I usually get profits out of games like this. And I killed a blyska (which killing DDs usually gives more profits) than farming damage on BBs.

So basically making premium a necessity, R.I.P WOWS.

If you are going to play exclusively tier 9 and 10, yes.

Man, im playing since Open Beta, I think I know how the game works after 4500+ battles with all the classes in this game but yet its strange cause after the 5.12 patch you're supposed to be rewarded more and better with killing planes, spotting and doing damage, which I didnt see that happening in this game afterall. Thats why im dissapointed.

You should read the entirety of patch notes not just the bits you like.

In 0.5.12 you are getting rewarded for more activities (spotting, damage received etc), but to keep average income more or less unchanged they also reduced the rewards for the old stuff (capping, doing damage etc). So depending on your style of play and opportunities in different battles you might get more rewards, but you could also get less rewards.

It's a re-balancing of rewards rather than a straight up increase.

Didn't they also say that average costs would drop about 50k for t10?

CV economy was balanced around the fact that if your team wins you have a high chance of being alive - if you are a good CV then it is one of the most survivable classes.  This has now changed to a flat fee which means CVs will generally suffer increased costs.

Was it predictable?  Yes.  Do WG think through the implications of their changes? Hodor.

Yes, but that will still make most difference for players with premium account.

Furthermore carriers, having roughly twice the survival rate of other ships, will probably have this result in an income nerf compared to before.

+ the restock of lost planes. While it is still good, the money my Saipan now makes has dropped from ultra to good. :hide_turtle:

Still I think if you farm more than 100k dmg and win the game, you should make profit, even without premium.

You say you think you know but you're still asking the question. It doesn't matter what changes they'll make, they'll still want YOU to get a premium account. You will rarely earn a profit in high tier matches playing without premium. It's that simple.

He is right. CV economy is even more broken now than before. CVs were in a bad spot, because of bad UI and other factors and now you wont even get a decent reward for playing. Battleships genrate WAY more credits compared to CVs.

Why would they make an undervalued class even worse ?
