This weekend was some kind of special, I've heard a lot of funny stuff. Some scary too. I'll take my top two.

 

Enemy in a Hipper, me in a Warspite. I gank him, and he starts,

 

"Why you in big ship shoot small ship. You with bigg A**. Warspite big A**" (I'm not even bothering)

 

"Big ship should shoot big ship, not small ship. You coward."

 

"I will find you. Your A**. I will take it, A**. Coward you"

 

He certainly was very fixated on my behind, not sure if I should be worried. lol. Probably misunderstood the whole premise of the game.

 

 

Second one, teammate. I think he was in a Myoko, I am in my Bayern. It's a tier 8 game mostly, with me as only tier 6 BB. Enemy team angles well, plays well, and it's hard in a tier 6 BB but I hold my own and then some. Final leg, and we may win but you know nothing is certain and enemy is close to our cap and we're fending them off. Me and that guy are the ones left up north, two teammates are coming to reinforce from south. I am going away, angled. Turning, firing, angling. Reason is the Bismarck that is coming up behind me that is set up for secondaries.

 

"Bayern, why you run away?" "Turn around and shoot"

 

Me: "I am shooting. And angling."

 

"Come fight me with me, don't run away."

 

Me: "Point of this game is to win" (not sail in and die gloriously, but I did not have time to type that)

 

Then comes a tirade about fighting together, and a teammate challenges him and said why didn't you do that for me two minutes ago. His reply was "I tried, but I was shooting from range." We did win.

 

 

Well, some times you just have to laugh. Anyone got any funnies to share?

I tend to see this situation pretty often - an enemy ship rushes forward (most of the time a cruiser) and gets deleted. First Blood, barely few minutes passed since start of the battle. Then a minute later we get a message in the chat "Kill my noob team faster pls"

Well, idiots will be idiots, sometimes we just run into them.

 

I mean a few weeks ago I was in my Roon on Hot Spot. Northern spawn to the west. Like so many times there I cover the island approach and the first ship I can hit is a Myoko. I do and hurt him. In chat right after (I didn't know at the time it was directed at me) he says something like "yeah sure, how fun". I don't react but I notice the enemies are coming up on the outside of the furthest island, so I turn around and aim to cut them off. Surprise surprise, friendly Myoko leads the charge with a Bismarck. Now, who would you shoot at? The Myoko in the open or the Bismarck angled near the island? Naturally I chose the Myoko. And he gets rekt by myself and a few others. With around 2k HP left he manages to angle away and run. Should I finish him off or shoot at the Bismarck who is by now a reasonably good target? Well, I decided that removing guns from play was better, as did at least two others. I don't kill him but he does die.

 

In chat the guy begins to type up stuff that I was seriously thinking were jokes. It was that silly. How unfair it was that high tier ships were shooting at him and not the Bismarck and how we had ruined his game etc etc. So I responded with what I thought was a fitting comment "well, when dinner presents itself"

It didn't take long to discover that he was serious about people being a-holes for shooting at a lower tier ship, and should have let him get away, because killing him was ruining his enjoyment.

 

I began to think he might be trolling us, but the way he kept it up, not with righteous fury or insults, but with a sort of insulted dejectedness... He really came off as being honest about his position, which really was worse than him trolling. He seriously thought it was unfair that I shot at him, that I should have left him alone and shot at worse targets because I was a higher tier ship. That he has managed to get to T7 (he was in a fail div mind you, with a Warspite) thinking that once the battle starts there are unfair or 'wrong' encounters, and had no compulsions about voicing that... I lost a little faith in humanity that day.

His own bad play shouldn't impact him if he faces higher tier enemies, they should give him a free pass. I can't even find the words at to how wrong that is. That's not how games work. And if he can be out there and voicing it, then there are undoubtedly many more that think the same, but don't say anything. And that's honestly a little scary.

Actually I was simply shooting a BB on the other side of an island with my Yorck's ballistic V2 shells

Friendly bb is moving away.He was 5km from the flag.

Quite possibly he meant a different ship that would citadel him if he tried to rush the base, meaning he'd have to turn around and expose his broadside in the process?

was in my New mex the other day when one of my team mates gave a scharnhorst on the other team a lesson in why you don't show your sides, the scharnhorst driver responded by saying that the player that hit him was using hacks 

 

I finished of the scharnhorst later in the battle when he showed me his sides again and got called a noob for killing him lol

yea I know I watched an Amagi sail/charge towards 4 tier 8 BB's a few hours ago mean while myself in my New Mex and another team mate in a tier 7 cruiser were trying to fight a defense battle in order to give the rest of our team time to get over to us.........the Amagi died........and then blamed us for not charging with him because you know a tier 6 BB charging several tier 8 BB's plus cruisers is going to end well......

I cannot write the details of the comments I recived, but I got a Double Strike achivement for sinking a division of 2 Tier5 BBs with my Kamikaze. One of them was ping-ponging between 2 small isles trying to reverse course while his friend was guarding him. 1 was almost full HP and the second around 50%, so i shoot 4 torps to the second to secure the kill and 2 to the full hp one. Luckily for me, seconds before my 2 torps hit, teammates BBs focused the full HP one so, when my torps hit, I sinked it, with the dinging sound of the achivement. 

 

 

Rage, insults and accusations of cheating and, in the end, 5 points of Karma lost... probably they managed to convince their other teammates to report me because "it is impossible to sink 2 BBs with 1 torpedo salvo".

One of my teammembers started the team chat with some spanish. Not that uncommon as you may know, but the responses from the team were rather irritating. So to ease the tension a bit, I replied with:

In my Warspite got into a tier VIII match.  So I'm firing HE at a Bismarck and a Scharnhorst and I'm doing OK with keeping a fire going on one of them.  My team mate in a cruiser is also firing HE as you would and I get sent "HE kids."

 

I'm two tiers down you bet I'm firing HE at a Jerry BB.
