KTAndo Players 25 posts 4,018 battles Report post #1 Posted September 11, 2016 I've just finished a game in my fuso today and I checked my ship docks and realised there was a campbeltown(premium British tier 3 derstroyer) which I've never bought and my doubloons values haven't changed. I would not do this if for a Campbeltown (DD) I had to do only things that suits DDs (like torpedo attacks). And Texas for free? Gimme gimme. Both the Diana and the Texas are most definately good ships... And you can buy the texas in the premium shop? edit: or you mean only way to get it for free? Cause in that case you need to change your expectations... Getting free premium things in a WG game is kinda rare (though the past 2 years it seems they have started to do marathon missions and such). [BOTS] peachpest Beta Tester 208 posts 10,789 battles Report post #20 Posted September 12, 2016 It might only be a low tier Destroyer but a free premium ship is still a free premium and you get a 12 point Captain to boot so what is there to dislike and to be honest the mission's to earn it are not exactly hard, maybe earning the 50k base XP is probably the most challenging of the 3 but you do get a whole month to complete them. It's a challenge to play... I like playing destroyers anyway... getting to known this campbeltown. Weak guns in the front, but 3 of them... wiggling will allow to fire all 3 which is kinda funny. Torpedoes a bit weird but can be stealth fired lol. This ship can stealth fire cannons too a little bit. I played some amazing games with it... Unfortunately tier 3 is full of noobs, so still had some losses. Last game I played I killed a CV... then fired at the wrong BB.... it was outside the base flag... so we lost because flag was captured... rest of team was so poor shot or out of range they couldn't get flag to reset ?! HUH wtf ?! Currently this new DD screwed my win rate for this shop down to 33%. 6 battles played in total ! 4 losses, 2 wins ! ;) Hmm hopefully it's win rate will go up. Ofcourse I was experimenting somewhat to see if it could kill a cv ! ;) And how it gets bombed... yup... investing into gameplay analysis... resulting in losses, hopefully later resulting in wins ! That makes this ship uselles for almost all daily, missions or challenges ever.. But on the other side.... this is 35 knots destroyer with powerfull torpedos that can hit from 8.5 kilometers!, and in tier III/ IV games. that means you can play this nimble ship and deliver strong torpedos to Slow battleships like Nassau, Wyoming,operated frequently by noobs. ..... A sealclub hunting I really like... This is from my point of view saving grace for Campbeltown so.. I keep it.
