[NED] piet11111 Players 2,225 posts 8,827 battles Report post #77 Posted September 30, 2016 Wow - just wow. It is fairly easy actually - release her or put her on T4 and give her 14km range with the faster reload and release her that way! I doubt they would do that considering they would then have a T3 albert on NA and a tier 4 everywhere else.
Gutterblade Players 33 posts 5,156 battles Report post #78 Posted September 30, 2016 Do you have a source for that? It was during a community event with iEarlGrey on Twitch where you could win some camos and stuff with battleship combat. MrConway was so kind to answer a lot of questions posed by people watching and one of the questions was about the Albert, and the source is me/everyone else who was there. So firsthand. So seems we are screwed i guess. It doesn't seem to make sense. Albert was released on NA with patch 0.5.11, and she's still there. If there was a problem they would have removed her with the present patch (0.5.12) If not sooner. So, obviously the problem is in the EU and ASIAN (they don't have her yet either) marketing departments, not with the ship herself. [DUDES] Z_OnkelE WoWs Wiki Team, Privateer 1,795 posts 19,859 battles Report post #91 Posted October 4, 2016 About the economical aspect: we don't have to give WG money, they have to motivate us first to buy something. If they don't want to sell an interesting ship, it is their problem to come up with something else that does that job. Their choice how to refinance their invested time and resources. [ST-EU] Trainspite Supertester, Players, Sailing Hamster 1,920 posts 4,621 battles Report post #92 Posted October 4, 2016 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND it's gone. ~snip~ Welp. That is a relief for me. On the balance perspective. Hopefully means we won't have Konig Alberts roflstomping everything else. Now Nassau just needs a nerf. Seeing 4 of those per team is too common for my liking. Some on NA may be laughing, but it is only because they want the rest of the tier 3 BBs to buffed to that standard. Which is a bad idea in terms of trying to keep newer players from going straight to BBs, especially when so many BBs are around. Or another OP Soviet fantasy ship. They managed to triple Molly's RoF and Leningrad is upcoming. No Albert sucks big time! Especially because of this Vodka infused fantasy sh* piece in the tree. WG knows how to piss off the their customers. WG has only tripled the practical battle rate of fire, otherwise, the RoF on Molotov seems fine from game perspectives given 5.5 RPM was achieved on trials. And WG will adjust the RoF for balance purposes, and usually use a trials RoF. E.g. County class getting 5RPM from trials on HMS Kent. I agree Molotov is a little too good, but having the tier 9 guns at tier 6 is her only selling point really. I would like to see her RoF toned down from 4.6RPM to 4.3 or so though. As for Leningrad, I think the NDA was lifted, though I will wait until safe before I tell you my view. But a question, do you consider Gremyaschy OP? Albert falls into the same category for me. I guess you just have to put the effort into the missions, as will I, though the game has become a lot less friendly to historical issues recently.
[DREAD] 1MajorKoenig Players 13,110 posts 7,885 battles Report post #93 Posted October 4, 2016 Issue with these missions is that they are boring like hell and ppl who have a job that doesn't end at 5 o clock and a real life usually have trouble playing that much in a short time to get it. I think Gremy and Molly are both too strong (like most recent premium ships, even if I only have Molotov out of the two). But it was clear from the beginning that if you put a strong T4 ship on T3 it will be on the edge or beyond. My issue is not T3 or T4 - my issue is that KA is the actual Kaiser and all this fantasy crap simply p** me off. And now they decide to not release the actual ship and keep the ugly fantasy one. The game is more and more moving into a direction I strongly dislike. Hell, I even re activated Battlestations Pacific recently

The game is more and more moving into a direction I strongly dislike. Hell, I even re activated Battlestations Pacific recently Well, how else do you try and limit the numbers of an overpowered ship? I think a mission would do it alright-ish depending on it's difficulty. Molotov is arguably too strong, though that follows on from Budyonny, which is also pretty OP. The thing is one can be nerfed fairly easily, and the other can't, and if it even was, then it would have to be light. Since Molotov has only one thing going for it, as I said. Though I have neither, I do observe their performance. I know your issue isn't with where the ship is, you just want the ship. Unfortunately, due to the nature of how the ship has been released, and that WG EU seems to be a bit more aware of the balance of the ship, it makes it difficult for you to get the Albert. It is more the fault of the development team and WG EU being a bit sensible that you or I can't get it for £10 or so.
[FO] Todger_Fairmile Players 494 posts 17,547 battles Report post #95 Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) I don't see how they can claim Albert is OP. It has been in premium shop AND tech-tree for over one patch. If it was OP, NA would have simply removed it, and made an announcement. I have one in my NA account, and the only thing OP about it is it's protection, but it still burns and gets torped. Crap like this (claiming it was op) is why I made sure I bought mine asap. It would seem that some players need to move to the NA server, or at least get an account there. Edited October 4, 2016 by Todger_Fairmile

I mean the American equivalent is an Arkansas with about 1km less range and possibly worse dispersion. Albert still has the best firepower, the best armour, and equal mobility. The other tier 3s, even the currently OP Nassau don't hold a candle to her. NA won't remove it so soon, it would look a little silly after saying it would immediately go to the tech tree. (I do have an NA account, but I don't want to spend money on it. I don't spend a lot on my EU one as is).
VC381 Players 2,928 posts 6,549 battles Report post #97 Posted October 5, 2016 You keep saying "OP" and "Nassau" in the same sentence and I'm not sure why. I remember when I started the US BB line a little while ago I had a blast in the South Carolina. Now trying to play Nassau, I can't make it work. Maybe it's just me but I don't even consider it the best T3 BB, let alone OP. I'm pretty sure the infestation is only due to the number of people still trying to start the line. In any case Trainspite I think you're exaggerating how OP KA might be. The Arkansas comparison isn't quite right because she can reliably bring 12 guns to bear while KA usually only 8, sometimes 10 but not as easily. Plus this is a tier where BBs are not king, Bogatyr or St. Louis will still burn you down and laugh at your attempts at return fire. I put it to you the other way, with that speed and range, how would you feel going up against a Kongo, Zuiho or Omaha? She might be strong for T3 but she's way too weak to be slapped with T5 games. She won't sell if it turns out she's an XP piniata. In any case she wouldn't be more OP, relative to her tier, than plenty of other premiums. I can see why the KA decision is infuriating for some and I don't agree with it, but there's still hope. Kamikaze R was a reward ship that was later put on sale. Maybe they are just playing it safe and are going to see performance based on the people who get her in the mission, and sell her anyway after that.

I'm not alone then in thinking that SoCal is the only really viable BB on T3. It's the only one in which I was ever able to do deletions. Kawachi was horrendously inaccurate, and Nassau would never give me pens, only overpens or bounces.
[DREAD] 1MajorKoenig Players 13,110 posts 7,885 battles Report post #99 Posted October 5, 2016 South Carolina an Nassau are both decent ships and I think they are roughly equivalent in strength overall. Just Kawachi is somehow meh - have somehow trouble to do decent damage in her. What makes me mad is the fact that a real (and one of my favorite) ship is not released here but on NA and I am left with a piece of crapinstead. I know very well I don't have to play the game if that's the next helpful remark. But I am enjoying it mostly and it makes me angry that some of these retarded decisions can ruin the fun for me. And these things could be so easily avoided btw. And they can pretty much do what they want - Warthunder f*** it up and there is no competition at the moment. Competition always helps - without this stuff happens. And come on: these missions are beyond dull. Even calling it a mission is blasphemy. Did the Campletown one and was bored beyond anything (and that was an easy and short one).
