Op or not she was built in my hometown so a must have. same, hope she gets released tomorrow then (9 days ago since release on NA by then) and she is still on sale on NA so i dont think she is OP, cause then they would have removed her already
VC381 Players 2,928 posts 6,549 battles Report post #28 Posted September 15, 2016 The German Navy stored boats both on top of the turrets and on the deck at different times, so neither is "wrong". They are also not life boats, they are the ship's boats used to transfer crew, mail, small supplies to land while the ship was at anchor. Most, if not all of these boats would be left in port when the ship sailed for battle, precisely because they get in the way of the guns (and are a fire hazard). Even the ones on top of the turrets would be blown to pieces by the muzzle blast of the opposite turret firing alongside, they wouldn't risk bits of falling boat jamming the turret so those shouldn't really be there either. MajorKoenig has it right, the biggest problem that limited this cross-deck firing practice was the blast wrecking the deck, or the funnel sides, or whatever else the muzzle is near to. It could also deafen and stun the crew of the other turret, not ideal.
[FO] Todger_Fairmile Players 494 posts 17,547 battles Report post #29 Posted September 15, 2016 Albert, or Kaiser for that matter, has no restrictions about using all 5 turrets on a broadside. It just doesn't happen that often because, usually, by the time the turret gets into position, the chance to use it has vanished.

[FO] Todger_Fairmile Players 494 posts 17,547 battles Report post #33 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) Its still not in the shop now i am a sad panda. I'd like to see it in the shop. I'd also like to see it in the tech tree, for it's listed 2200 doubloons (as they did in NA). BTW they're still waiting on the ASIAN server as well, just without a worm on their tongue(s). WG, could you at least give us any information if we will get her anytime soon? (Sorry for double post but it's time for my daily touch point)
[NED] piet11111 Players 2,225 posts 8,827 battles Report post #36 Posted September 17, 2016 I really don't get it what kind of sense these marketing department are operating on. These delays are completely nonsensical and only serve to create very negative impressions of wargaming as a company so whatever total nutjobs they put in charge of this i would love to hear a rational explanation of this business model from them. JeepGucci_2 Players 68 posts 1,970 battles Report post #37 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) First of all - I am waiting too for the KÖNIG ALBERT. NA did it release in exchange with the current on sale Murmansk and Blyskawica. But it was also availble from the Techtree in game for 2200 Doublons. To the placment of the lifeboats...The provided photograph of the Kaiser-Class ship seems to be a after 1916 picture which shows to things: The 3 Cutters and Steamboats have their original place between/behind the B and E Turret while both have allready visible prepared restingplaces on the Turrets. IMO the pictures shows the "cruising" position of the boats. When in "battle" position two boats are hoisted on top of those turrets while the largest innermost boat is lifted above the turrets so they can traverse freely beneath the hanging boats. Here is a drawing of the "FRIEDRICH DER GROSSE" that supports my opinion: For those who like to see the oroginal sized picture http://dreadnoughtproject.org/plans/SM_Friedrich_der_Grosse_1912/langsschnitt_100dpi.jpg Edited September 17, 2016 by Friedrich_August

JeepGucci_2 Players 68 posts 1,970 battles Report post #40 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) I have never heard of ships going to battle with boats hanging from the hoist. Me neither...and by reading the many detailed notes on the following drawing I see where the error in my assumption lays Here the link to see the enlarged view of the picture http://dreadnoughtproject.org/plans/SM_Friedrich_der_Grosse_1912/obere_ansicht_100dpi.jpg The drawing shows all three boats have positons on top of the turrets even those that I assumed to be hanging on the hoists. Mucker Players 842 posts 8,403 battles Report post #41 Posted September 18, 2016 I am worried. Looking at Albert's stats on the NA server, it makes the little OP Nassau look like your average battleboat, and towers miles above SC and Kawachi. Nikolai reloaded? Pretty much it seems. We know NA does everything to pander to their customers, my fear is that the other clusters are more thoughtful about the implication of such a release. [DREAD] 1MajorKoenig Players 13,110 posts 7,885 battles Report post #42 Posted September 18, 2016 Sorry but that doesn't make sense. WG created a fantasy boat for T4 because they felt the actual ship would be not competitive and put her aside as a down tiered premium. Similar to Ishizuchi/Kongo. How can you be surprised that a T4 ship looks rather strong on T3 even if it gets the dispersion and range of a T3? WG nevertheless made this (surprising) decision. Now they should stick to it and give us the ship. Or - even better: toss the ugly fantasy boat in the trash and use KAs model for the tree ship! Forget about the AA. Mucker Players 842 posts 8,403 battles Report post #43 Posted September 18, 2016 I know. But WGs weird decisions are a never ending story, and seems like Albert may be another victim of them. I can't think of any other reason to hold Albert, except maybe the BB heavy meta atm.
MrFingers Beta Tester, Players, In AlfaTesters 3,242 posts Report post #44 Posted September 18, 2016 As I already posted in another topic: The more I begin to suspect that WG-NA had it available too soon and/or that the price of 2200D was an error (on the wiki, the price has been changed from "2200D" to "Promo"), and it should have been way more expensive, as it's a very solid Tier III ship 2200D is the price for the Mikasa, the Tier II Japanese joke. On the NA, the premium shop price is 10.75€, which puts it at a guestimated value of 2750D (2450 for the ship, 300 for the slot).
RedStorm1 Players 434 posts 8,874 battles Report post #45 Posted September 18, 2016 A solid Tier III means practically nothing! All missions, campaigns, what have you not, require Minimum Tier 4 ship thus, making a Tier 3 premium of limited use. Equally, credits and XP Performance of a Tier 3 premium is negligible. It has only collector value. So, people will buy it just to have it at port. Keep in mind that WG usually makes offers of 50% on this tier. So, I do not believe price is the issue. This is just one of the usual f@...ups of WG

First, you can buy Albert from the (NA) tech tree for 2200 doubloons. Second the price of Albert in the Premium shop is $0.64 less than the price of 2500 doubloons (2200 for Albert, + 300 for port slot) under 'any amount of doubloons'. Also 2200 doubloons is 200 more than Mikasa, and 50 less than Aurora or Yubari. As to why EU has not sold it... who knows it does not make sense to me.
