The four destroyers are Akatsuki, Shiratsuyu, Akizuki and Yūgumo! Performance and Tier adjustments will be made to some existing Japanese destroyers as well.

I'm glad they fixed the the chronological order of the ships. I even made a thread about tier 6 Hatsuharu way back in beta and put Shiratsuyu at tier 7.

 

This new line should be a fix to most IJN DDs problem, provided they balance Yuugumo right at tier 9.

You mean, when IJN gets ships that does even less damage to BBs, while being even worse threats to other DDs, that suddenly the class that are supposed to be countered by it would somehow get worse?

Well, you got Gunboats all over the place now already, if we get RN Cruisers and IJN destroyers that both spam HE from smoke all day long it makes no sense to play BB anymore, you will be just spammed and burned from every side.

Fubuki at T6 may be a great punishment for all those BB, and Kageo may feel better at T8.

As someone who owns Fubuki with more then enough xp to unlock Kagero (but never bought it, because of the state high tier IJN DDs are in the game right now), I'm quite "concerned" about how will they make this happen...

Yep, but I've seen changes like this done by just giving out both (like the old russian heavy tank split in wot), and you know there'll be plenty selfish whining from people who will go "but I bought a hatsuharu so I want to keep a hatsuharu" expecting to keep both. And if it's a dead end that wouldn't be too bad really (or even if not tbh).

-Glad Mutsuki goes where it should have always been, tier 5.

 

-Fubuki at tier 6? They can nerf the torps, but it's still 3x3 610mm torpedoes. Tier 6 seems really low.

 

-The transition from Shiratsuyu (2x4 torps, typical Japanese DD 127mm guns) to Akizuki (1x4 torps + 8x100mm guns) is gonna be hard. Guess that Akizuki will lead back to Yugumo so you can reach tier 10 from that side. Otherwise, very few people will bother.

What is the point adding more low tier IJN DD when the top tier Shimakaze almost unplayable, and the USA DD tree always better stealthtorpedoboat's from Benson and up ?

Hurray i will have Yugumo unlocked because i have Shima !!!!  ??? I will not purchase back tier 9 ship when i have already the tier 10.

These new destroyers waste of time and energy from WG( except when they introduce one new second tier 10 IJN DD sometimes).

 Dear WG try rebalance Shimakaze instead these DD's. These 1.9 km spoting range torpedos(without vigalance and targetacquisition modul) are horrible, guns are slow in both traverse and reload time.

Ok so I have a Kagero and working towards Shimakaze and I kept my Fubuki as I have the premium camo on it.

 

What's going to happen to my Kagero, straight out swap to the new tier 9, and if so do I lose the ship that it replaces?

 

Not too worried about the Kagero but the main issue is losing out on the Fubuki with the camo, i'm assuming they will have to lower the price on the camo as well going forward which sucks, paying tier 8 camo on what will become a tier 6 ship.
