I'm looking for videos of the best players or streamers to learn from them how to be more effective. i haven't done too many battles yet but i noticed that i am not overly helpful to my team most of the time. so i figured its time to change this if i want to continue playing.

For learning purposes and seeing how top players play their ships, I'd suggest the following channels:

For entertainment purposes - I'd say Jingles, which everybody should know who he is :)

Some other good youtubers I'd recommend because they show both informative and entertaining videos are Eurobeat, Arlios and Notser

will name you one of the underdogs here:

RNGsama he streams sometimes/rarely but will most likely keep the pace up in the near future.

Otherwise of course the above mentioned peeps

for yt I'd recomment Jammin411, the hoster of the wowreplays site. He commentates on great replays in a really enjoyable way.

The heck am I reading?

Jingles can be fun and has his moments, but seriously, he's not a very good player. He's above average, but just barely.

If you want to learn how to play well, DON'T watch Jingles.

To think I nearly recommended Jingles just for the giggles

Yeah, he isn't the best around, not nearly. But whilst he isn't a really good player, he's still better than most and most certainly entertaining to watch anyway, so no fault with that.

Don't underestimate Jingles. He is a great analyzer. He is well aware of tactics and he can superbly explain them.

And this is exactly what op needs.

Uhm NO

Jingles first comments about WoWs team battles showed his tactically versed he was ( if you understand the game you wouldn't be surprised about the plethora of tactics which be utilized in team battles... ). Just that someone served on a real navy vessel doesn't mean one graphs the tactics in some arcade naval shooter.

OP needs Crysantos/Flamu and lots of others before even coming close to actually having to consider Jingles for 'gameplay assistance'.

Sorry mtm78 I don't get your idea. Can you please write more understandable?

You accept that he is versed tactically (agreed)

Than you state someone who served in navy doesn't necessarily have to be good tactical wise?? (who said otherwise anyway?)

Can you please point out the points you don't agree with?

Otherwise posts appear as if they are written to be "just written" - hence increasing the post count.

And maybe you can explain what's your thought process to be more beneficial and instructive to newcomers.

I think Jingles -with his tactical awareness and knowledge of the game- is a great youtuber.

Moreover he is superb at explaining his thought process - which is crucial for a learner.

Other than the ones mentioned here, here are some worth mentioning:

Business6

One of my favorites. NA player.

Quite fun and instructive videos.

Cat on Board

A top rated NA player. A survival expert. Doesn't comment though

Panzerknacker

Another great player.

Have fun learning.

By his own admission Jingles is only a normal player and therein lies his greatest strength, the above mentioned players are superb at this game and so after a while a new player watching them could think " I am never going to be able to cut it in this game" . Watching a couple of Jingles games can bring a smile back to their face and the truth that most people are pretty bang average on here( me included).

Stop being an ... I said the exact opposite and it was clear enough. If you think Jingles is a good tactician, shall we ask his team leader from when he actually played in competitive setting? Ow.... right.... you don't know them, but I do.

Jingles didn't even think the game was 'fit' for competitive gaming, 'to much rng, not enough skill' was his claim. Go look it up, you probably missed it in his videos. Then he played with some actually good people, and he changed his mind, since THEY had to show him proper tactics.

Now shush....

Calm down boy. No need for aggression.

And I don't understand why you got offended too.

Calm down boy.

Just.Shut.Up.You.Are.Annoying.

On a more serious note: Jingles' service in the Navy (real life) doesn't give him much of an edge in WoWS (arcade shooter).

He is not one of the "best players" and OP surely knows his channel anyway.

Stop calling me boy kiddo  No need to continue with your 'hidden' attempts at insults, even if you're just ridiculing yourself with them.

I don't understand why you are trying to be such a smartass, do you want to become famous on the internet or something?

Well I was trying to enhance the overall quality of the posts (community). Seems unlikely going to happen with this attitude.

Not going to go into a ridiculous discussion with 2 adolescent boys - especially about a youtuber.

Meet you guys in the battlefield :)

It really depends on what type of class you want to play.

For example, Crysantos would probably be great for CA or BB, but I can't remember how he performed in DD and he doesn't play CV on stream.

Speaking about CVs, I stream only when requested and so I have all the time in the world to answer any questions asked - kind of like your own private lesson if you will. I could tell you how good (or not) I am with CVs, but it would be more believable if it came from someone else.

I'm surprised noone mentioned atsf ..

Or on a more serious note, Notser.

Aww come on :) atsf, aside from being fun to watch, can at least encourage you to try to pull off something gloriously random out of a terrible situation instead of running away and die a coward.
