[NIKE] Xevious_Red Beta Tester 3,412 posts 7,888 battles Report post #2 Posted August 31, 2016 Premium account: it gives +50% credits and +50% XP, so you can unlock new stuff faster, and earn more credits, so I can afford new ships faster. Also applies to world of tanks (one premium account covers both) which I also play. I have a premium account, I generally go for the annual one, and pick it up when it's on discount around Xmas (gives the best value for money). For me it's worth it because WoWs and WoT are my "go to" games if I'm playing on the computer. Premium consumables: set them to replenish using credits rather than gold, but mostly yes. The better cool down and extra charge means you can be alive longer and do more damage which earns you more credits, which then pays for the premium consumables. Repair, heal, smoke and radar are always premium ones for me. Both the planes are never premium. Hydro/defensive depends on ship and how likely I'll actually need it. Premium ships: depends what you want out of it. Some are great credit earners so a few games on an evening with one and you have several million credits in the bank. (Atago) Others earn lots of XP and make good crew trainers, while some are just unique and have different playstyle. With premium ships it's worth knowing what you want from it AND being an appropriate level to be able to handle it. Don't therefore buy an Atago (tier 8) if you've never had anything over tier 3 since you'll just die, repeatedly.
[BOTS] deadly_if_swallowed Players 1,678 posts 13,867 battles Report post #3 Posted August 31, 2016 I use premium account occasionally but not as often as before. Usually I got those with a bundle or as personal ingame offer. You don't really need it but it sure speeds up your ship grinds and makes high tier games (T9/T10) less painful. Premium consumables: Yes, absolutely. Since you can switch between credits/doubloons costs there is no reason not to use them. At least equip premium damage control party whenever possible, the rest is optional. Premium ships: It took some motivation to pay a fairly large amount of real money for a seemingly small ingame content but now I think it is the only viable investment to this game (aside from a handful of doubloons on certain occasions). Whenever you buy a new ship it feels like buying a whole new game as they are all unique. In this regard the prices are somewhat justified (or let's say bearable). Of course, I only buy ships I am interested in. I am a player, not a collector.
XbodzioXplX Players 6,008 posts 7,043 battles Report post #4 Posted August 31, 2016 I would say - buy it for 1 month. It is about 10Euro. Premium gives you better earnings in credits and XP so you will grind faster. I use premium consumables but only above 4tier and not all of them (like fighter or spotting fighter). ParEx Weekend Tester, In AlfaTesters 1,449 posts 7,711 battles Report post #5 Posted August 31, 2016 I dont use premium account anymore. Reasons: - I dont care for fast progress. What I've learned from WoT: its not about getting Tier10 asap but enjoying your way and only play ships you like. - I got some prem ships (for which i payed once and not monthly etc) which I like, too. So no issues with credits at all. Got bunch of that plus crew trains fast, too That way I can use prem consumeables as I like plus camo on most ships without credit loss at the end of the day.

[POP] makhot Players 188 posts 6,393 battles Report post #11 Posted August 31, 2016 I don't have that much time to spend on playing, so I usually play with premium account. However I haven't needed premium ships until reaching tier 8 with multiple ship lines. All the costs just skyrocket on upper tiers, so without earning credits with premium ship I run out of credits to spend on upgrades. The problem is, a lot of people believe that its all about getting Tier10. I was on that train years ago on WoT when i suddenly realized I was so wrong. So true. Tiers 9 and 10 matches are quite irritating mostly.. I find tier 6 generally the most fun and additionally like to have pure fun with Isokaze.

Prem account 30 days: 9,95 euros. However... Buying prem account each month adds up to an annual 119 euros. Thats 39 euros more than a player who would simply buy a years time premium. The different gets even bigger if you buy smart and pick up 360 days when its discounted.

I see only the cost of 15 in gold. Click on the consumable. On the price of 15 there is a little down arrow. Click that and the credit price appears. Select it ! [H_FAN] Gnirf Players 3,293 posts 67,252 battles Report post #17 Posted August 31, 2016 Thanks HansZeeHock Which of the repair party or Damage Control party do you find most important? Does it differ much between various ship types? Cruiser below T9 except Akagi is of course only one choice, but for the BBs todays meta with many BBs may give different answer compare when lots of HE spamming cruisers. I have seldom brawled with my ships but with the German BBs I am building with sec builds so putting more pressure on damage Control where it is difficult to extract yourself. I have not used any premium so far. One option I can think of is use only premium damage Control party, you will get less fire/torp damage and then not so much repair party need. Do you use one /both /none. , quite seldom I find myself burn or flood to Death in a BB unless very focused or underdog and then its no use anyway, more often in cruisers. Well of course you flood /burn to Death but in cases where the premiums really would help.

So in the end i guess you gonne see more of me here posting questions, So am i in a rush??? Nahhh guess not Any new comer is going to feel your pain of the seal clubbing. I am not a beleaver in getting premium accounts and my reason is this. Players may find it easy to get to the next tier ship having a premium account but might not get the skills needed when reaching past tier V so you may end up constantly having to have a premium account to continue. The high tier ship the harder it gets and you may look back and think the seal clubbing may have helped in learning the game. When it comes to premium ships the best time to get one is when you reach tier V. By that time you should know what class of ship is best for you and which country you like more. If your into RU cruisers and not USN cruisers then to me its best to get a RU cruiser. Not worth it at the moment to get a RU BB since there are no BB tree as I did get a premium RU BB and now think i would of been better off getting a premium RU cruiser. Reason is to do with commander skills. What skills you may want for a BB you wont need for a cruiser. So decide which class of ships suit your playing style before deciding on a premium ship. Premium consumables can not comment on because don't use them at the moment because need credits more than consumables to buy upgrades and next tier ship. Its really up to you if you think you need premium account/ship and consumables This is just my opinion on the game. Good luck in your battles Just to add I still like "Rush" music Edited September 1, 2016 by dude1416
[MUS] Sophia_Mus Players 116 posts Report post #19 Posted September 1, 2016 I use both premium account, (a year at a time), and premium ships as I am a collector and a naval historian. Regarding premium consumables they are worth it at the high tier, (t7+), but not so much on the low and mid tier imo. Reasons fore premium account and ships? Well the account gives me more credits and xp. The ships gives me even more xp and are cool collectibles, that's why I got them. With premium account and premium ships you can even earn credits and a decent amount of xp playing coop mode up till tier 7. (otherwise very difficult above t5). My suggestion would be buy the Scharnhorst and see how it goes, if you still want more credits and xp then upgrade to a premium account. Good luck and fair seas! Is that free 50% XP with premium account ? If it just XP to convert to free XP then why not keep a elite ship for extra XP since you have to buy doubloons to convert it with premium account/ship and don't you earn more credits with a elite ship than you do with a un elite ship. If I am correct then a premium ships main purpose is to train captain skills as well as having many ships to use in your dock yard. Surely you wouldn't recommend a tier VII premium ship to new comers ?. I maybe wrong on what I just stated about XP and credits. [MUS] Sophia_Mus Players 116 posts Report post #21 Posted September 1, 2016 With premium account it's 50% on both free xp, (the yellow xp), normal xp and credits. Scharnhorst to a newcomer? Well why not she is perhaps the best xp and credits earner in the game so? Ofc. you need doubloons, but almost every player, (myself included with about 600euro spend so far), buy them. If you don't want to spend real money on the game, then fore sure don't buy the Scharnhorst, but if you do and ad some doubloons too, then I still strongly recommend her to anyone. Most wont agree I beleave with you recommending tier VII Premium ships to new comers. At least wait till reach tier IV/V BBs before buying a tier VII ship unless into being seal clubbed and paying for that pleasure. Just my opinion. [MUS] Sophia_Mus Players 116 posts Report post #23 Posted September 1, 2016 Well dude1416 I do indeed recommend that new players play a lot of games in coop mode in order to learn how to use their new ship properly, before venturing into random game mode. But that qualifies for any ship not just Scharnhorst. Ofc. it's not fun to be seal clubbed in a t7 ship playing in a t9 game, but hay! even seasoned players would suffer in that situation I know I have and players way better than me too. New players could as a beginners alternative chose the IJN T4 BC premium and try out if the playstyle suits them. If it does then they should do well moving on. jadan0s Players 4 posts 2,256 battles Report post #24 Posted September 1, 2016 The only premium I had so far was the free couple of days you get when leveling up to level 12. I did buy some doublouns to reset captains and transfer them to my main boats. Right now I am using up all the premium smoke and repairs I gathered from a boatload of missions from the last couple of months and I do see my game improve A LOT. This is mainly because I like to play destroyer (t8 fubuki and t9 kagero) and the shorter cooldowns are a huge advantage. I am convinced running premium smoke (22500 credits) will save you money in the long run because if your ships get's blasted the repair alone is 150+k. I grind t4-t5 ships for credits and am just enjoying this game so far. I can see premium bringing in a lot of extra credits which in fact is what's stopping me now from buying my first tier X ship. the sheer cost of running t8-t9 is just too high on a non-premium account to unlock tier X. But hey I get why wargaming does it. After playing for so long to get here WG expects a return on investment and let's be honest. If the game is good, pay for it. As for premium ships: I got a few (Ishizuchi, Anshan, Warspite, Molotov, Atlanta and Horst) And premium consumables: I do use them on all my premium ships (even on my Tachibana), on all ships at T6+ but not all consumables at once. Mostly it's only DC II. Greetings
