With the MM queue full of 100s of BB, I do not want to waste time so I jump into the low tier IJN DDs and torp straight sailing German BBs.

That is the only way to bring the BB numbers down.

 

See it this way. As long as DDs can succesfully torp you, you do not need to fear that BBs get "nerfed".

And WG already made it clear that BB are on the borderline.

Wish i could bring my STB-1 in this game and load heat.. Seriusly having no chance against another class/type of ship/we brings us back to the early 2000s mmos where it was either archer mage buffer or healer...

What if i told you that when im fighting a dd its either a potshot or every single advantage is under his control, wich is apparently normal... cause u know DDs are supposed to counter BBs..  Im fine with DDs countering BBs im not fine with only DDs and CVs countering DDs.. And yeah im a new player but not a potato so dont l2p me

You missed one. WASD hack counters DDs.

And radar boats. Destroyers only seem strong due to the current meta. There are tons of battleboats, very few cruisers and even less carriers. Those are good conditions for destroyers.

 

And this is a meta the players themselves have created, where the most played class is battleboat and their captains whining about every single thing that could hurt them (latest AA buff was pretty much the nail in the coffin for carriers). An average MM looks like 5 or 6 bb's, maybe 3 cruisers, rest destroyers. Throw in a carrier once in a blue moon. Yay for diversity!

 

I like cruisers, but the only one I play regularly since german battleboat launch is the MK. Rather play my destroyers (benson, fletcher, gearing) then the other cruisers and risk getting blown up by the gazillion battleboats in the queue.
