This is Ridiculous! Undismissable ARP Captains clogged up my barracks

I have two ships, two active captains, one reserve captain from a line I no longer use, and brarracks clogged up by Arpeggio captains.

 

It has gotten to the point that I can no longer put my captains in the barracks and have to buy more ships so they have a place, I cant even swap captains between ships!

 

You know, i was in favor of ARP Ships and the like, I like anime, but ffs!

 

I was wondering if I can contact support so they can erase those ARP stuff from my account (except my Haruna)

Did you make sure you got as many captains 'assigned' to your ARP ships as possible? Sure it's not a fix as you can/will have dual captains for some ships but it's better then letting them all sit in reserve.

Found out i have one unassigned.

 

But still ... 1 reserve slot free only, and having in mind that with my play time, i usually get the ARP captains from the missions, but not the ships themselves....this slot will be filled by another useless girl.

You can also use the reverse technique (putting as many captains into the reserve as needed to block all slots before the mission ends) to add an additional captain slot when you are about to finish one of the ARP mission for a captain. Afterwards you can usually put this new captain on her designated ship and you have a free slot.

 

I did this with the ARP Kirishima. Unfortunately I shuffled around some other captains and forgot to sat them back on the bench and the ARP Haguro used that empty slot. Now I am one short but with this technique I made sure I have enough slots to shuffle around captains afterwards. Just keep an eye on the captains and you mission progress.

I really shouldn't do this just because someone out there designed crap missions (AND CONTINUES TO DO SO)

If you are going to give me a free captain I dont need, give me a captain slot with it aswell, so we are even.

 

Right now they give you a captain with one hand, and if you are not keeping an eye on it all the time, take one of your slots with the other hand.

 

This is unacceptable and badly designed. I hope the support wipes these girls from my account.

I had 2 unassigned, and a lot of my premium captains are still in my reserve ( though I never use them ). 

 

Seriously, I got 44 reserve bunks and I got them all filled as well, swapping captains can be a drag because it usually means an extra step. I could dismiss a lot of the captains I guess though, but everytime I want to start on cleaning I got this 5 min cooldown before that captain is actually dismissed

Nor me. I have 12 ships and about 6 slots spare and about the same number of captains.  I just dismiss a captain when I sell a ship and start with a new guy.  I refuse to use RL money to swap pixels about.

um, have you tried to change the port to _{-insert any available port name here-}? i am sure i have at least 3 ARP captains, but, since the Yokosuka port is hideous, i am enjoying my time in the Philipines, and have all my reserve captain slots available..

Im a fan of zipangu's cherry blossom or ocean's master race optimisation. And i have like 6 or 7 arp captains and only 3 of the ships.

Reserve slots are shared. You are still missing the slots occupied by ARP captains.

I am waiting for a new missions for ARP captains and ships. Any of them is coming with their own slot, when you had not place in reserve :-) Move ARP captain to his ship and you have +1 slot.

And for those of us who have already missed that? I used to play casually 10-20 games a week where I could and did not know that,

 

Now, Im happy that I got a free Kongo...Once, but now I have three (why ever would I need three damn kongos is beyond me) , and 6 more cruiser and Battleship girlies that take precious slots that I otherwise need to buy with real money.

 

And this is unacceptable. WG staff have commented here on this forum that this is not right (I researched) but so far no results.

I can't get my head around how hard this seems to be for WG I might be wrong but aren't these the ONLY crew members on any WG title that don't have the ability to remove?

Well, customer support contacted me about the issue and told me basically: "We cant do crap, but you can spend money to expand your barracks, bye."

 

Well, in a more polite tone, and I dont blame the guy, but still. WG your ARP promotion is soured after that. For me at least.

I have no apr captains in ships I still have tons of space left... I haven't even upgraded my reserve, for me it seems they don't take up any space... I don't use the Yokosuka port so that may be a fix?
