releasing ships on NA server before EU

As many of you may know the Dunkerque has been on the NA server for about 3 or 4 days now and we are still waiting for them to even mention it here. the same thing happened with the scharnhorst and many other ships and even updates to the game client. it might be justifiable if the ships were from the US, however they are European ships therefore i see no reason why they wouldnt be here first or atleast at the same time like it should be. i would like a moderator or WG staff to explain why WG favour the NA server so much over the EU server it is getting quite stupid and insulting to us.

I do not care who get their hands on new ships first, only that it will cost approximately the same on all servers. If I should guess, the ships are released when they are to maximise profits, and not due to nationalistic concerns.

Scharnhorst took two days to get to the EU server, two WHOLE days!

Dunkerque is taking a bit longer, but they recently said it would ordinarily take nine days at most, so I expect her this weekend or next week.

I want Dunkerque, am obsessively refreshing ye olde premium shoppe, but seriously, it is not a big deal, not even the biggest deal in the game..

If this is the worst thing in the world to you, you're a lucky person.

 

They don't favor anyone, we all get our turn.

They try different marketing strategies on different servers, check out the various regional shoppes, I like our line up better than those of the other servers.

Furthermore, for EU they have to translate a lot more, so things get delayed.

Sometimes we are first, we are way ahead on ARP.

 

Seriously, if you'd just said: there is a lack of communication on when she'll be available, I don't understand why they don't announce, then I'd have agreed, but this..

Personally, I hope they are investigating if she needs a buff, I hear different things about her.

I'm not fussed who gets what first. The only time WG really messed up was with the Campbeltown giving it to EU last well after it had been reviewed and the hype and history (and anniversary) had well passed.

So they deserve it to get their hands on new stuff first. Besides, take the expiriences they make, read reviews before you buy the ship to make a better decision.

Simple solution release new content on the same day for all regions that leaves nobody any room to complain.

Agreed. After all WG wants to earn money. And releaing another premium right after a very popular one is not a good idea, as most people are going to have blown their money on it allready.

 

I would not be surprised if we will see the it at the start/close to the start of the next month or so when people people will get their monthly pay and can spend more money on a bunch of pixels.

Just be patient, and as someone else said, let one server be the testing ground for new things so we can all make better informed decisions later.

Agree about the pricing - that and different specials between the regions are my biggest gripes with WG.

 

Regarding other regions getting anything, be it ships or complete patches before us - I am actually fine with that - better to let another regions test something before we get it so we know what's coming.  The issue is there is ZeRO communication from the community team to tell us what's going on and when.  WG need more CMs, rather than slightly wooden actors who are clearly passed their prime..   :/

What does it matter to me ?

Well this type of marketing causes a lot of negativity purposefully causing delays with entirely predictable results is something that definitely will create a negative impression on current and potential customers.

 

I want to see wows succeed but the marketing of it in my opinion is harmful and that is what matters to me.

The regularly scheduled f***ups and forum rage are things that happen once maybe twice but wargaming has turned that into official policy that leaves me a little concerned about the future of the game i love.

Remember that it also means that you get more opinions on those ships before you're about to spend your money. Which in turn might save you some money.

Whats wrong with a bit more info?

Why not have the americans test and review the ships so we have an informed opinion on what we purchase?

After all, ships are exensive, and after the glamour of 'omg new french ship omg' fails you are left with a crappy bucket of bolts that is no fun to play.

 

Not to mention that you will play this ship against sharnhorsts and tirpitzes and all the nasty german BB opposition that will wreck you.

I'm guessing WG would claim because there is no common language in Europe it takes longer to release things here(I know they have used that in the past-as much as I disagree)

I played against "Prinz Eugen" yesterday a T8 CA..Anyone know something about that ship?? Didnt even know is was out for testing.

Its in the game files, so its available for supertesters and such. On the chinese server I believe it is sold with a +20 skill point captain.

We got the polish DD first and the Warspite also unless i am mistaken they have yet to have the Diamond missions that gave us ships like Smith and Katori. in fact if i remember correctly they had to wait Months and months before they got the Błyskawica. We have often got ships before the Yanks. Scharnhorst was basically released at same time. They just delayed by a few days so it was a gamescon release. It was rather obvious they would do that.

Who honestly cares if NA gets them first? What kind of issue is it causing for YOU? That someone you don't know and will never know is playing a ship a couple of days before you? I mean all this NA is getting stuff first / better things is pretty childish in my opinion.

The main issue is, that there are differences between Servers that make no sense whatsoever.

 

Take a look in the WoT shop for all regions pls, the current offer for the Berlin quartett bundle.

The second time within months in the shop, it's around 65€ in all shops except Eu where it gets bloated with equipment and Gold and sold for 100€.

And this is a major improvement over the last time they were on sale as EU didn't even get the option to buy the bundle!

Each of the tanks was sold for 40+€ while the rest of the servers could get the 4 tanks bundled for 60€.

 

As i a collector, i give a flying [edited]whether a ship is good or not, i buy it anyways assuming the price is within my limits.

The decision to sell Vehicles on one server ahead of all other makes no sense at all, and since there's no explanation from WG i assume it's done to kiss some 'murican asses and hoping they spend some $.

Having local Marketing derps decide when to sell what is also a stupid move from WG.

Let them make the decision what missions, events and community stuff they organize, but let the shop be global, with unified prices, offers and release dates.
