Why are you replying to this. if he ever made a troll thread this is it. Most trolls who come to complain about economy are NOT making a profit at tier X, he is just trying to show off his 'awesome' tier X performance ;)

We all know acheron makes stupid threads, but the issue hidden underneath this one is pretty real.

Just do as others, play lower tiers. Seriously, the balance at tier 10 is not good anyway and the gameplay is stale with soo many reversing BB.

Also, most of the ships there are not that interesting (in my personal opinion) and just paper ships. And Yamato is over hyped though good ingame, else I see little reason to play at tier 10

Then again, that is my personal opinion.

I  hope that they come back with the reduced repair costs again, maybe around 10-15% would be good in my opinion. It shouldn't be too cheap after all.

Don't agree, f2p games are supposed to be restrictive for end game content ( in this case tier X ships ). If the economy didn't force you to play other tiers, to many would only play tier X which would be bad for the expected lifespan of the game.

Agree. I sometimes do not see why some people only want to play tier 10. That is the same as basicly ignoring 90% of the game. Why even play a game like this then?

Do we have any proof at all about this? Has it happened? Did everyone play Tier 10 while the repair costs were lowered? It can be restrictive without being absolutely insane, like the 2 months period showed us.

Until the day I see definitive proof that -20% repair costs equals 100 ships at tier 10, making a profit of 300k after a mediocre game, I'm not buying this.

Ow no, that is a good comment, I didn't mean that the -20% repair costs would suddenly break the game it surely doesn't. I assumed, probably wrong I admit, that even the -20% repair costs wouldn't be enough to satisfy OP's dissatisfaction with the game's economy.

The -20% repair costs, to my knowledge, didn't affect low/mid tier population much, and it increased high tier population a bit ( not by much btw, which would indicate it's not exclusively the economy which hurts the tier X population ).

edit: coming to think about it, wouldn't it more fair to increase reward/income for doing useful stuff, instead of lowering repair costs? As long as the total impact on profitability stays comparable that seems a better way.

You can see that in other massive multiplayer online games - after a while players all wander to the endgame content and the earlier bits can become deserted, which can be a huge turn off for new players.

If that would definitely happen in this game? I dont know.

Play all your T5-T6 ships first, then you will have enough to lose credits on the T9-T10 ships later, or just play better in the T10's, earn more badges, protect caps, you can make 500k+ a game in the Zao if played with a decent team.

-20% repair costs is not that much, it would still mean people will not be making profit or breaking even at tier X except a few unicorns here and there I guess. OP's result in this one battle for instance isn't representative of his 'overall' performance

Yeah, becouse everyone plays tier 10 in Armored Warfare which has the said economy system.

The worst part is that the playerbases is more or less the same at the moment. Also in WoT, you can regulary make 20-40k profit if you play good with a free account in tier 10.

I am simply flabbergasted and amazed you actually made profit... It's my main reason I let the wonderful T9-10 ships rust in peace most of the time. There are a lot of debates about this. For me it's too annoying demotivating to play at those tiers. it's not that I'm afraid something's at stake but I just don't enjoy doing my utmost best and getting punished by lousy losses in teadious boring camper matches. IMO Archeron made a very valid point here. He got a kraken! That's for me, experienced noob, a very rare occassion! +1 for you Archeron. If only for that kraken!!

At the moment I believe, WG is withholding some features in WoWs until a larger playerbase is active in the real endgame. Until now we got maybe 10% of people owning a TX ship (my guess) and if you make it cheaper to sail them, the mid-tier games would get difficult to populate. This could also be the reason why there are no clans yet, because they would focus on clan content -> less population in random battles.

Or I am wrong and they just want people to buy premium to somehow cover the costs of WoWp...

Ok, so the OP got a Kraken, which is a fairly rare, but no confederate, no high caliber, no other awards and finished second (by some distance) to a player with 1 kill.

5x kill-steal by the OP?
