the ship is frustrating to play

basically all the same struggles for s.carolina

if we see a bunch of kaisers queued up in MM, can we (the kaiser captains) all agree to a gentleman's agreement and line up broadside to broadside and take turns blasting each other to farm XP and get out of this hellhole ASAP? :teethhappy:

Low-tier-BBs are like high-tier-cruisers. Just faster to grind through.

I'm amazed with how good the german bbs are so far.

Nassau feels like a tier 4 with great AP potential and decent dispersion

Kaiser isn't exactly a big upgrade, but it does feel sort of like a shorter ranged New York. If only the guns would behave and shots would actually go where I aim them! :nerv_fish:

Broadsides?

Please sire, such plebeian conduct. A true gentlemen's agreement would be to settle the discord in an honerable duel with swords at New Dawn. The man to draw First Blood wins!

well the ranke is meh, but the amor guns and turn ability is good. You are able to citadelle a kongo in it, but the kongo cant do the same to you. Ithink its a good ship

Had alot of fun today seeing all the Kaiser's trying to pen each others armor belt. I guess alot of BB players still dont realise that HE has its uses.

The true winners today however, we're the tier 4 CV's without a doubt.

my thoughts too

the nassau felt pretty powerful

i dont know if the guns were actually good or the armor was just bad

but consistent 2xxx damage shots easily, though no citadels

the dispersion on kaiser is horrid

Not to mention the Isokaze sealclubbing divisions :red_button:

As to Nassau, the way it is armored reminds me of the New Mexico: it seems to take a lot of damage if hit on the area above the beltarmor and below the superstructure.

I never citadelled any BBs in it, but I did consistent 2-4k salvos (and the odd 12k salvo when RNGesus favored me).

If only the Kaiser had better turret rotation speed so it could actually brawl!

You can try to get to my broadside. Don't worry about my guns firing. That's only a welcoming salute. I'll apologize in advance if a stray shot or two should come down in the vicinity of your vessel.

Oh... wait a moment... I didn't play the german BBs yet and probably wont until next week. I didn't read their manual yet. :read_fish:

I'm encountering lots of Hosho's today, hunting down innocent Battleships. :hiding:

Oh, and I might mention: I just had a session in the training room to test just how sturdy the T3 and T4 german BB's are.

Mission: Survive Yamato broadside from a stationary flat anlge.

(Comparison: Montana.)

Result:

Holy shiiieat those are tough little buggers.... @_@ Yamato was not even close to one-shot a broadside Nassau even at point blank range; in fact, Nassau would usually take 3 full close-range broadsides to bring down. Amazingly; when kililng 10 of them, I only scored one citadel hit directly from the side - although I did manage to citadel the Nassau with a Yama form 45 degrees off the bow - this seemed able to bypass the turtleback., A.Kaiser would usually take an extra broadside over the Nassau and was otherwise fairly similar. I did not record any citadel hits vs the Kaiser. Montana, in comparison, died in (usually) 2 or (very occasionally) 3 broadsides - usually Montana would sit at well under 50% HP after one hit, while the Nassau besides it had ~70% hp left after the same treatment. Hitting directly from the front wasn't tested as extensively, but seemed to either produce regular penetrations, some overpenetrations and quite a few outright bounces. Lolpenning only seemed to occur from that very particular angle at the side; probably the front turret barbette.

Can't say I encountered that, but I did only play two games in her.

I had another Nassau broadside at 4 km. 4 salvos. No citadles. Biggest salvo was 8k. 10/10 wanted to kick something.

Same could be said for him as well though. He got the jump on me (he was able to get the first salvo off) and had more HP but he couldn't do serious damage to me either.

......and here I am sitting in my Katori spamming radar laser guided HE shells like no mans business at 13km with impunity and getting average 75k damage battle results. Fun times.

Don't you mean boring times. I would rather be having a good fight with someone than exploiting a game mechanic to stat pad.

Show me where on your Nassau/Kaiser doll where my Katori touched you inappropriately.
