Anyone knows if the patch goes live on Thursday or will it go live next week?

 

Noone knows, but I would recommend to them to make patch tomorrow latest to be able fix eventual unexpected bugs or problems before stages at Gamescom are opened on Wednesday afternoon :hmm:

Re extended public test - Just had a go and...Frame rate has dropped to 14 - 17 fps, ping around 39 - 40. game crashed twice while I was in and had to come out completely to get back in. Decided to call it a day as game was unplayable..

WG wrote that the German battleships will be available on this test, I think that most people who were signed up for the test server had hopes that they will be able to test them. I wanted to test the capabilities of new battleships and not the bonuses that I got for playing on the test server

Why did you chose Measure 12(???!) camo more aplicable to Hull A then late war Ms32/18d which suites Hull B better for North Carolina?? Not to mention it looks way better. Shame, was about to purchase it, not any more now...

 

EDIT: I was wrong. Looks like were getting both, depending on the Hull. Thank you WG!

Don't understand why they need a public test to check on how the the fail divisions work or how the new profile or stats look let alone the colour blindness mode. I was under the impression that we were to test the new German battleships and give our feedback on them before they were released to the great general public, also disappointed levels 9 and 10 are unreachable, maybe that's why there were only 200 players on last night......

Sorry, but If u dont understand what they need testing, you dont need use your brain a lot in real live =)

 

primary you testing

2 reworked maps,  hotspots (path) = they watching where players going = is map good balanced?,  terrain issues = dmg model of terrain, etc

they dont need testing T9-10 ships,

if you need, then research T9-10 in current game

before in test you starting on T4

You join last 3 days of public test and starting on T4, all playing T10, You waiting hours on battle or you can play PVE

now you starting on T6 you can play immediately = more battles = they have more data to hotspots on reworked maps

 

Why they dont give us only T9-10 ships?

because on these tiers are more camping = less usable data for reworked maps

And u can report others issues, graphics, drop fps, stuttering, .....

Hi All,

I am not sure if I am posting this in the correct place, since I don't know if the following has been made intentionally or it is a bug.

 

On the screen before the battle begins, where we see both allied team members and enemy team members, when clicking on any ship, we have the feature of seeing

that particular ship's stats in terms of survivability, artillery, aa defense etc...

However, these stats allows only to see if the player has the modules upgraded or not. Unfortunately It does not reflect if there is also an increase provided by an upgrade or captain skills.

If to give an example, for instance while using an IJN Destroyer (tier 8 or higher), the primary importance is the concealment/stealth. Therefore when checking the enemy stats before the battle, I would like to see if the enemy has as much as stealth as me or even a better one, which will allow me/us to be more aware before bumping into an enemy (especially a higher tier) since the stats shown on pre battle screen are not reflecting the correct ones.

Or another example, if I am using an Aircraft Carrier, I would like to see the true AA Defense stats of enemies, whether it has been buffed by an upgrade or captain skills.

 

Again, I am not sure if this has been intentionally by Wargaming or it is just a bug. If it has been made on purpose, then why to show the stats on this screen at all?

Yeah, they do.

It's easiest to see with the AA since the difference with and without AFT is around 9 points on most battleships and cruisers after the tier 8.

​Well unfortunately it doesn't. Countless times with my Fubuki (concealment 95) I have bumped into a Shimakaze (concealment shown 89 in pre battle screen) or even a Benson who has even worse concealment, where I am supposed to spot them at least 1 km before.

Therefore I assume it is not reflected. Or is this the case only for concealment? or is it a bug?

I am actually quite an avid DD captain I am am certain it does take concealment expertise into account ( as I can see the rating change depending on which captain I put in my Kamikaze R for instance ). 

 

If you have this behavior you're describing I would consider it a bug ( and a very localized one as everyone I just checked with knows 100% the stats display at the time of writing is not bugged on their end ).

However, the issue is not on my stats. It shows the correct ones. It happens when I look into the enemy team player stats.

 

What to do in that case? Should I try to demonstrate it by recording a video? or put screenshots? Or would you have any suggestions to be able to test this in an easier way?

If you think it is bugged -> 

 

1. enable replays if not enabled before

2. make screenshots of the pre battle screen showing the concealment factors 

3. add time index of encounters which seem to not match shown concealment factors of pre battle screen.

 

If you find these moments, adding a WGCheck report should make the bug report ready to be passed on to the developers.

Also, just to caution you, I'm very tired when posting this and I been 'out of the loop' for a few days so it might be an actually known reported bug at this time with just me not being aware of it :hmm: But, I don't think this is the case.

1- Most ships especially low to mid tier, are not that reliant on a super trained captain to be able to test normally. 

2- Changes to ap shells normalization is a minor change right, because we never had an issue with such a 'small'' change causing issues on the live server :sceptic:

 

3- So you find a bug, but it's not worth to test things on PT, sounds rather counter intuitive if you'd ask me?

 

ps. Who ever said YOU would be able to test them?

 

If you just cba that's fine, but at least just be upfront about it then :coin:

The August update is bringing German Battleships to the game, but there are tons of community-requested improvements as well. Test away!

It was VERY IMPLICIT that german ships would be part of that public test. So please... (hard to stay polite and not get ban :D )

 

I hope next time WG will be much more clear about what will be part of the next public test. Got fooled once, shame on you.

By the way, did anyone receive their code today with the gifts from the public test ? I did not get any email with the code as stated : 

 

Rewards will be delivered via a bonus code sent to your registered 

email address on the day of the release of the update or slightly after.

Please note that only players with a Public Test account registered to

the same e-mail as their live server account will receive the code. Only one code per account is applicable.

You're contradicting yourself, implying something ( aka clickbait, which no one denies it was ) is quite common in public relations. If you watch some Axe deodorant commercials, you would almost expect the opposite sex to all come running for you from miles around, right? Or, will you not sue them if it turns out to be different?

Am I missing the section about German battleships available for public testing?

 

So, no I am not just trying to be a smartass, you just didn't read the entire patch notes and you failed to interpret the clickbait header as clickbait ( clickbait always IMPLIES something, but it's alway in a form where it's always ambiguous ).

Apparently, the rewards were delayed due to Gamescom. It surprises me that they weren't automated to be delivered regardless.

 

Thanks for the link, did not see this annoucement. The delay screwed my timing for those new german ships. Bah, gave me the opportunity to take a break ^^
