If this finally gets confirmed, it's a big "Thumbs up" to Lesta. Well done.

Its in the 0.5.10 patch notes for PT

I think fail divisioning should be allowed in coop though.

I have no problem with that idea. After all, coop is the place to learn. So having a much stronger division teammate to walk you through the game, and aid you would be a good idea.

in Co-op it would be easier on a fail toon considering that its a mirror matchup, ( so the AI gets a fail-toon as well )

unless you get into an assault mode ( providing WG ever can get it working )

tbh i would love to see bigger matches in PVE...

Which would completely prevent you from playing with a friend if you don't have exact tiers.

Its dead easy mate. Just buy some lower tier stuff to play with them. A couple of my mates started WOT a long while after i started. So I just purchased some  lower tier stuff and then went up the tiers with them. Its not like the lower tiers are dear to buy is it.

Not to mention fun revisiting old ships :) and helping you friends up tier faster. This only becomes an issue at high tiers where it takes ages to get the next ship. I have at least one bb and cruiser at tiers IV to VIII and I'm not selling the Bogatyr.

So I kinda don't see a problem

So they don't get to play together if it's higher tiers where ships are expensive. Screw that.

...and almost certainly drag the rest of the team to a horrible loss? (Depending on the depth of fail)

fail divisions are just not fair on the team that has to suffer them.

Egocentric much!? If stats don't matter to you you could at least respect the delicate feelings of your team mates.

Do you guys whine just as much if the MM sets up your team with a total of one tier lower than the opponents? Is that almost certainly going drag the rest of the team to a horrible loss? Because that's what you're arguing.

Way to go ad hominem. Who said anything about me starting fail divisions in higher tiers?

I know it can be a hard concept to understand if you're not familiar with it, but there are some people out there, like myself, who sometimes like to show consideration for other people.

don't worry it is going to be worse, soon no matches will be allowed unless both sides have the exact same ships.

Err. As i said when my mates started WOT I got lower tier stuff to play. Once they reached my level I carried on playing the tanks i already had. I did play the higher tier stuff when they weren't about. So I don't see the problem. We ground together at the higher tiers

I have to disagree with you.  As you know, gameplay changes a lot when you go up tiers. When you take an inexperienced player up to high tier, that player can't do anything. First because his ship isn't realy fit for that tier (with some exceptions). 2nd the player isn't familiair with the gameplay on that tier.

I don't see where is the fun for that inexperienced player. I don't see the fun for the rest of the team. So not allowing these fail divisions is protecting that inexperienced player and the team. Futher more, a lot of faildivisions is due to that a player forgot to change the ship.

I can only conclude that not allowing fail divisions is showing more consideration as allowing them. Don't forget members of the forum are asking for this as from day one.

That's just low tier.

AnotherDuck: If its fun only for one from team and rest fells angry (like bringing T3 in T8 game) then its not fun but just trying to piss others. Do you want amateur player in your favourite football club to play final match? It will be definitely fun for him but he will very probably ruin whole match.

I cant see what are you trying to defend here...

I once brought a T2 to a T7 match. Sure, I didn't end up at the top of the team, but it was third, I think. That's the only time I've played in a division with more than one tier difference, though.

And if you actually followed the argument, you'd realise I was arguing against a forced equal tier, not against a ban on large tier spread differences like what you're painting there.

It was a response to someone who suggested a +/- 0 spread. Look at the first page of the thread.

To be honest anything more than +/-1 is a fail division and 9 times out of 10 is detrimental to the team... So +/-1 feels about right to me.

+/-0 is too restrictive, and I don't see +/-1 as a "fail". It's not usually ideal but workable, and at tier X, divisioning with tier 9s doesn't usually pose too much of a problem.

+/-2 can lead to some horrible fails, like dragging a St. Louis into a tier 7 match, or tier Vs getting wrecked by tier 9...

Yeah, the only places I can see it as viable are in a select few cases. Actually, all of them are about IJN DDs, since they're less tier sensitive on the whole. More specifically, Umikaze, Minekaze, and Fubuki. Umikaze in my experience actually works better on somewhat higher tiers than its own matchmaking (T4-T5 is the sweetspot for me), Minekaze is one of the best ships for her tier, period, as well as being one of the fastest ships in the game, and Fubuki will meet T10 frequently anyway.

I might have made the wrong conclusion, but you said that it would be imposible to play with friends on higher tier. So that fiend wouldn't have that tier vessel. Otherwise it wouldn't make it imposible. So that friend is inexperienced for that tier.
