passwordistooshort Players 0 posts 115 battles Report post #27 Posted September 28, 2016 I m just gonna provide some of my experience.I have the gtx 660 OC.I had to use MSI afterburner to downclock her to stock values to be able to play high end games without getting crashes. As for the nvidia drivers, the latest ones are a joke. After 337 or 327(cant remember the exact number sorry) i started to get an awful performance when playing arma 3 which forced me to roll back and stay there for months.Mostly because i was half asleep i updated my drivers last week.An action that fucked up my wows fps also.Rolled back to 358.50 which seems to work fine for wows.Besides that, after 3-4hours of having the wows client open i need to restart it cause i start getting 10 fps.i5 4690gtx 660 oc 16g ram 1333 h97-plus Running mostly with every setting on high. [PIPO] donarkaz Players 53 posts 5,866 battles Report post #29 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) I've got an i5 @ 3.8Ghz and 16GB RAM, AMD RX 480 8GB. VSYNC is OFF. My fps drops momentarily from 72 to 42-44 and then it goes back again, (sometimes stabilizing aroung 55 fps) when I pan the camera onto a view with many ships AND smoke deployed. The game is surely unoptimised. This needs to be addressed, it's too bad this high spec PC can't run this aging graphics engine @ 72 fps at ALL TIMES no matter what is shown on the screen! Doerte Beta Tester 256 posts 17,143 battles Report post #30 Posted October 28, 2016 After being really positively surprised what 5.13 did for the fluency and consistency of my fps, 5.13.1 is a major setback, as my average fps went from 72 down to 52 max. That would not be so bad, if those fps were at least consistent, which they are not, as they drop down to 27ish all the time. Not to mention the lag or stuttering since 2 days that (for me) make it hard to hit anything consistently. Whatever you did to 5.13, you 5.13.1 broke it again. And yeah, yeah I know... I'm an AMD-User and those gotta live with WoWS running like garbage, but pls bring back those buttery smooth fps from 1 patch ago.
[TSUN] DragonstrikerOrigin Players 325 posts 8,802 battles Report post #31 Posted October 30, 2016 Well fun fact for me. I have DPS drops aswell only if i'm browsing on the same time in google chrome in youtube and also have multiple applications open that actually can hurt your game. Already played WoWs with Diablo 3 open with 8 gb ram ;) guess what happen with my FPS ;) It stayed stable at 70 fps with some lagg spics. (yes i play on MAX settings) Anyway the main chause of those problems is not always the game its more about what application you use, what system you use, how old the drivers are and what HARDDRIVE are you using. Trust me HDD is not very good for thise game special since the game has heavy water physics and if you know about programming that is the most resource eater in the hole game. _GrimLock__ Players 371 posts 8,020 battles Report post #32 Posted October 31, 2016 If this helps anyone. After testing various settings (i run wows on a laptop but its more than capable so il clear that out of the way) i found out that the sea rendering thingy has a huge impact on performance. So on my side the difference on fps with the sea rendering maxed out vs low quality is about 15-20 fps.So switching it on medium or low kinda helps. Now depends on you on what do you want:smooth fps or "that water effect tho ".Hope it helps! HidesHisFace Players 206 posts 3,576 battles Report post #33 Posted November 1, 2016 I have similar problem with both WoWS and WoT. Except in my case, the FPS drop lasts for like 1 second. It happens at complete random and increases in intensity the longer I play - this is RAM issue - probably related to an engine - the game basically fails to clean working sets properly after battle and clogs the RAM. In my case, installing RAMmap and emptying modified page list after every battle helps.
[DAB13] MarchxD Players 1 post 1,460 battles Report post #34 Posted November 6, 2016 Hello there, I'm noticing this thread might not be the freshest but I wanted to add this anyway. I have a slightly different problem but it should fit in here. I can play the game without any problems (ingame fps around about 40-60) but at random times, if I do something in the port like go to the modules or exterior tabs the fps drops to 1-6 and stays there permanently after that, even in battle. Restarting WoWs does not help, I have to restart my PC. It's pretty annoying, maybe somebody got a fix for that. Otherwise I might just have to wait for WG to patch it... Dhinchak Players 4 posts 3,379 battles Report post #37 Posted November 8, 2016 I am on a laptop and have a 7400M and i3 so not the greatest but I was able to play 900p with everything turned down with 25 to 30fps but now even with 768p i get 10-15 fps. My last game was crazy, I see (plane spotted) torps some distance away and next second they hit, I press fire and hear the sound but the shells leave my gun about 2 seconds afterwards. So yes I also have increased lags. Earlier the only time I faced lag was on weekends and that too very rarely. The ping shown is still 100-200ms. (I am playing from Taiwan) and have a 100Mbps connection.

[2FUNY] leo70 Players 98 posts 21,253 battles Report post #40 Posted January 23, 2017 I do not know if the new package is to blame for the drastic decrease lag and FPS. Starting this weekend the game is completely unplayable. I have lag with ping 36-40 but the red light illuminates constant lag and 76-18 FPS. Large disparities in the game and disappearance of ships during the game. And after we had a few disconnects from the server. My connection had no trouble always checked. I mention that before this weekend the game went well.
