Yorck's 210 mm HE does more damage than 203 mm USN HE, its fire chance is meh though. Really benefits from DE, as others have already suggested. German 203 mm HE is the worst of the bunch, but Roon and Hindenburg can pump out so many shells per minute (with good hit rates thanks to their flat arcs) that damage and fire chance still add up nicely. [BOTS] deadly_if_swallowed Players 1,678 posts 13,867 battles Report post #27 Posted August 7, 2016 I instantly regretted selling my Yorck when I unlocked Admiral Hipper so I re-purchased Yorck for last Ranked Season. She is just great for all the aspects already mentioned by others. German 203mm AP from Admiral Hipper upwards eats ships alive, no matter the target. Accuracy is so great you cripple DDs just by overpens. HE, however, is also pretty strong after the buff some while back - usually does about 3-5k alpha dmg per salvo to BBs at angles that would easily bounce AP shells. And fire chance is not that bad either. Admiral Hipper has become my favourite cruiser at the moment in terms of efficiency (Atlanta being the one for derpiness). It is the smallest tier 7 ship, it has a short citadel area and foremost, it has a crushing turning radius that cumulated with early fire warning allows you to avoid BB shells - which is the most important thing in a CA in ranked - not get BB killed.
