What did the [EU] do this time to deserve a different treatment for WG's 18th birthday?

To be completely fair - Lo Yang - WG Anniversary Bundle is pretty good value:

bla, bla,

bla, bla,

bla,bla,

bla,bla,

bla,bla,

bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,

bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla,bla

Too bad I have zero desire to get Lo Yang.

you nailed it!

I do not really care for all their attempts to take my money, none of them seemed enticing, nor here or on NA.

I DO mind the difference in the XP bonus as I simply do not see any reason at all why we get screwed over here compared to everyone else.

In fact, I am gonna assume it is a mistake.

Your new to economics? Im interested in Astromony a bit and looked up a product on Amazon a few yeas ago. Basicaly a bino with gps that with you can look at at star and in the nightsky and it told you what star you were looking at.

Amazon.com 299 dolar, Amazon.de 349 Euro and the euro were pretty high vs the Dolar at that time. Both offered by Amazon directly.  Another good example are medication or do you think People in Africa can pay the same for some medicaments than in europe or the US?

AFAIK in the USA (and Canada), prices are published without taxes. I was told that there is no general VAT in the US but various sales taxes, which means that there isn't a single tax rate that shops could easily include in all prices. Depending on the location, there could be a sales tax from the state, county, city or even other institutions (transport authorities, etc.) so you cannot even set a price and print labels for a state or a metropolitan area, let alone nationwide.

To make a long story short: Price tags in Europe include VAT (16% in Germany) while they don't in the USA and Canada, which accounts for most of the price differential in numbers.

Usually in the US, the location of the seller is important, not the buyer. So if the state that Amazon ships from has no sales tax, they don't post it and don't pay it, even if the buyer's location has sales tax.

There are some states that still require Amazon to add a sales tax later, but it's not the majority.

In the US if you buy something via mail order you only pay sales tax in the state the company is based and you live there(so for example if you live Maine and buy something from a company also based in Maine you would pay Maine Sales Tax 5.5% but if you bought the same item and lived in Vermont you would pay nothing).

Here we go again...good job fingers...don't play the game but show up now and again, light the blue touch paper with your anti EU WG gripe and then sit back and watch the explosion, not forgetting to poke the resulting fire now and again. Same old, same old :teethhappy:

I bought a YOLOng because I wanted one and it's WG's birthday; the rest of the offers weren't that interesting. Nice to get some flags and camo, though. Maybe there's be more offers next week? :)

Is it really so unreasonable to ask for the same PERCENTAGE based discounts in all regions? I don't mind if a ship is cheaper on other servers, but if they get x% off their cheaper price, would it really be so unreasonable to expect that we get x% off as well? It'd still be cheaper for them. Imo discounts(by percentage, not total cost) should be the same for all regions unless the discount is because of a holiday that's only important in one region(e.g. 4th of July)

It's very possible that they are doing these discounts differently in different regions because customer behaviour is different in each regions when it comes to discounts, but it still makes many people feel like they are treated badly just because of where they live.

He already posted an unofficial statement on reddit (spoiler because of excessive length)

Ps. more ppl shoudl do what its my signature

Well i say the same thing when it comes to most AAA games such as BF or COD which are crapbut plenty of people like them.

Likewise this current anniversary offers actually intrest me so im not fussed, likewise people on other servers may feel the same way about there offers, it can also and does apply to WOT EU on a regular basis so i am not suprised but if offers pop up which intrest me then i do buy but it is not often though WOWs tends to be the better game.

A full answer? To this silly-[edited]topic?

Yes, and all topics like it: Why do you treat the EU server worse, how can you defend that?

NA now also has the 10x portslot for 7.99$. That means the EU is currently the only server on which this offer is not activated.

Hi guys!

I see MrFingers and the usual suspects are at it again :) I know that some of you guys feel very strongly about having the same in-game offers in all the regions. As you already know different regions have different player bases and needs when it comes to in-game specials and we need to target those player bases with offers that are best suited to keep existing players interested, bring inactive players back and even to find new players. Ultimately we all want to the game to prosper while also enjoying great discounts. I think the EU offers are pretty great and while they might be different, they are just as cool and just as free on top of a game you would enjoy even without the bonuses.

While the current offers are ok i must say i am dissapointed but that is my own fault because i was kinda expecting the scharnhorst and konig albert.

I did not get to spend a dime because nothing stood out to me offer wise.

You sound like a call centre worker. Reading from a script, speaking platitudes, but not really addressing anything. Just how difficult would it be to offer something "special" for a birthday? Even an offer on low tier premiums such as the Smith, Katori, Albany for example. "Do the mission and get 40% off" or even just put something different in the shop. Result happy customers and some cash in Wargamings bank account. But we get a shrug of the shoulders from Paris. Perhaps it was just too much hard work for them.

You know how the community feels now? Like the fat kid at school who has to sit and listen to how great the party was that he didn't get an invite for. .......as usual.
