What did the [EU] do this time to deserve a different treatment for WG's 18th birthday?

EU buy too much, and there is too many meek people that accepts everything with a smile instead of criticizing the bad points.

^

And preaching that we should be happy because we have the amazing and unique opportunity to play a free to play game, when there are zillions of free to play games on the market....

Oh wow a captain skill reset for 40% off just a few days after it was 1 dubloon per point.

Only discounts for ships up till tier 7. 2x exp for the first win that is there every weekend anyways.

Discounts for a few prem ships only up to tier 5 and the Lo Yang.

Some free camo and a few flags.

Kind of hoping for something more exciting I guess.

(Really, no port slots(discount)? Tier 8-10 discount? Tier 6-8 prem discount? Maybe some interesting event?)

Compared to RU this is so underwhelming it is just sad.

It's surprising that people are still complaining about things like this ...

I guess the STs are smarter than us then, they stopped complaining and decided to embrace the abuse.

Personally, I was hoping for some cool discounts on Atago or Błyskawica, but who wants my money anyway.

Wouldn't say smarter .... maybe they feel more loved by WG, cause of the privileges and more attention they get. While EU players just get ignored, they have a higher tolerance due to that, is my guess.

i dont mind different marketing strategies for different regions. but some events should be unified. like anniversaries and christmas.

Yup, in the EU we are all to ready to part with our cash.

If we actually turned round and went feck that it's too expensive, they would more than likely reduce the price or offer us better deals.

WG offer the products they try to get us to buy at the highest price point they think we will accept. Its what every retailer does.

If you diagree dont spend Money easy and simple. The lawn is allways greener on the other side.  Some people whould still argue und [edited]about if WG gave them Money ,-)) Simple rule of envy.

Don't ask what WG can do for you, but what you can do for WG!

Come on, it is WG that is having the birthday here :coin::coin::coin:

They don't own us anything this time. But they chose to give away stuff, so they should give everybody the same stuff. The problem isn't WHAT we get, the problem is that not everybody gets the same, and that it has been going on for ages

I'll settle for:

1 - not buying the 2500 doubloons I was going to use to buy more port slots

2 - not buying the 150 war paint package I was going to use to help me grind my tier 7 ships

3 - not bothering to play for a bit

4 - this post to tell WG that another customer thinks this policy is lame

Don't get me wrong, I know WG won't miss me as a single player or my paltry £30 and no one here cares either, but I am just one person and that's all I can do (or, frankly, care enough to do).  Only a truly catastrophic drop in player numbers (think WoWP levels of abandonment) will change anything and the problem is that not enough people care that much about this situation to vote with their feet or their wallet.  The reason no one plays WoWP isn't because of disparity in specials, offers and missions between regions, it's because it's a terrible game with a much better rival.  Warsheeps on the other hand, is a very good game with no rivals.  Dammit.  *reaches for wallet*

If you don't like the birthday offers then simply don't spend.

If most of the EU feels as we do then they'll notice the lack of revenue...

I for one am happy with what we got, and thankfully only x2 on the first win as more usually attracts elements I rather leave on WoT for the time being. I'm gonna nab the tank in WoT, thank you very much, and go back here. One thing I'm curious about though, wonder if they'll ever do tier 2/3 anniversary ships and such like they do tanks in WoT. Not that I need to have that, just wondering.

Shouldn't they be able to also choose what to give to whom too?

Of course they should. But then they also must face the consequences, which is in this case an angry mob. And they did know that from previous shitstorms (I really really hope they did....)

Seems to me like they know how to deal with and get away from those "consequences" just fine from past experiences.

To be honest, since all summer time weekends have been a x2 first victory, I expected something more juicy for the Anniversary. Discounts and all that stuff, not really interested anyway.

But I already know WG EU, so not really disappointed.

It is sooo easy.

Good special with REAL discount on something I want = I spend money on WG

Bad special without discount on stuff I want  = I spend my money elsewhere

Dealers choice.

This!

Please WG, get it in your brains....the more you offer us, the more we spend.

No need to offer the same across all servers, just make it your mission to "Offer the best deals to our EU players and be considered the most customer-centric organization in the group".

The LoYang package is very good, but you still want us to give you 50,00 EUR (which is the price of a full game in the shops)!

And since we are all expecting Scharnhorst, we are not prepared to bleed twice in a month so, we are all holding back!

I was expecting 50% off on Atlanta - it is a crap ship (only situational) win rate abysmal and the first thing to be shot at as soon as it appears. At 50% I would buy it though, just for the occasional fun.

You want to see my money? Keep your LoYang and give me Imperator Nikolai I instead, I want a seal clubbing ship, now sailing only against Tier 3 and Tier 4.

Anyway, I do not mind.

World of Tanks EU is giving me one free tank and 3x XP on every battle starting tomorrow. So, I will be elsewhere occupied....

Actually they expect you to hold back for now on spending money, and instead go nuts on spending it all on those 70€-Tirpitz-Scharnhorst-Bundles in two weeks. :coin:

For those who just don't get it, here's an analogy that explains how many people feel.

Imagine a parent with 4 children.  All of the children give their parent love and affection in various quantities and qualities.  One child, let's call him/her "EU" feels that they give their parent more than their fair share of love and affection.  One day, thanks to being loved so much, the parent decides to give a gift to the 4 children.  To the 3 children call NA, SEA & RU the parent gives £10.  To the child called EU the parent gives £5.

Now do you understand why people are unhappy?  Theu feel that they give at least as muchas, if not more than, the other regions, but they get less reward.  And no, people don't care that each region is seperate and can do some (apparently) things independently - all the cash ends up in the same WG bank account in Cyprus so it's ultimately the same.  That's why people are upset and, seen through their eyes, rightly so.  Still won't make the blindest bit of difference though.  Just saying! :-)

Well they offer Discounts. I probably would habe preffered a flag or camopatern to get something more unique to say later i was there at that time.

This might come as a shock to you,

Imagine a parent with 4 children.

This might come as a shock to you, but parents don't love their children all equally, even though they always tell them they do.

And that is precisely wrong, unless in some EU bible there is holy comandment that specify that anything free should be praised no matter the quality.

Plus, i don't see zillions of free warship games on the market. This is the only one that is not crap (except WG marketing and event handling, which are crap) and not dead or half dead. Effective monopoly.
