right, i for one would be feeling like i fool being in WG EU shoes after seeing others celebration (not for 1st time) 

and btw, they are for the first time not giving free tank/plane/ship , so far they did on all 3 games for those years

People will complain no matter what server they are on, because they allways believe they get the worst deal. WG can't fix it unless they start giving all servers the same special, but that won't happen.

 

Not to mention just not feasable, after all they can't sell stuff on the RU for the same prize as the EU server due to differences in economy and so on.

I agree that on such a anniversary all server should be threated in the same way, premium bonus packages can be different of course.

Well, I can hopefully answer that. NO. They got different consumer data for different regions, so just making everything universal would not work.

 

Also, with economies differering from region to region, they can not give the same discounts of premoim ships for all servers. (Ofcourse that EU countires have vastly different capita per indivídual is a problem in an of itself).

 

The only thing that they really could make universal across all servers are discounts for credits/ingame missions and bonuses. But these are decided by the regional offices and do not have any communication between them.

I can only imagine that they might see it more trouble than worth to try to coordinate something like that over different regions across different languages. Other than that, I got no clue.

True. But as I said, for what ever reason they have, they must see it as more trouble than worth it. 

I can't imagine they would just ignore a potential to pleaze an extra part of the player base and potentially earn more money. They would not be where they are today if they did not know how to make a deal/earn money.

Naturally we are asking for the same prices over all the servers, if we do not we will hear "but the game is so popular in Russia so we must release these new Soviet CVs we found in a secret archive up Putins rear end before we release any real ships" forever. If the prices are not the same the population of the different servers will not be optimal and WG will focus on pleasing the server that have highest population and not the one that spends most money.

And all that works fine and dandy if you want a burger or a haircut, you can not go to Armeina and get you McSlobby just because the price there is 5 cents lower. However, when we are talking about digital products this limiting factor does not exist, and unnatural limiting factors always leads to a dysfunctional market.

Yes.

This is really stupid move on the WG side. Did you read some Q&A? WG always insist this is so they can better answer to particular communities needs and requests. In which they are terribly wrong, because feedback about this have been overwhelmingly unequivocal - almost everyone want equal treatments of the servers.

So we need to push this every time till even those dense heads finally will get it. Remember how much time and effort it took to finally get rid of the bundle-only premiums?

However, we also have examples of how they change their plans when ppl DO complain, so to call this "yet another whinthread" is not fruitful; it is part of that process you are describing.

I think our offer is good. Not brilliant, but certainly not bad. I'm not really sure which one I prefer.

 

 

However, as noted by other people, the offer itself is not the problem. The problem is there are (almost always) different offers for the different servers. I understand economics are different on the different servers. But these things should be the same. The base price can differ, but the discount should be the same. And that xp bonus for first win is just wtf. Again, not complaining about x2, that's nice, I'm complaining about the different treatment.

This is exactly why, Wargaming. Because you make people the FEEL they matter less than other people. Because you make some servers the FEEL that they are less worthy than other servers. I'm not saying that is true, but making people feel that way is already very bad. This way everybody loses. The 'let down' server is angry because they get less, the 'better treated' server gets picked upon for always having better deals and Wargaming gets flamed because they behave like idiots and ignore the vast feedback people give regarding these decisions.

I never complained about whining. I am fine with people expressing opinions. What I do not like is people fighting throwing insults and so on. People are entitled to their different opinions. For some people to say they they like the event is also feedback.

Well its offers on prem stuff in a F2P game so at least theres something. Must say I was hopping for the Scharnhorst to arrive though.. The German BBs Are not far of either so i dont see the point of having an offer on the Lo Yang.. If they wanted more hype why not discount the Tirpitz or Even release the Scharnhorst so ppl can Get a decent crewtrainer before the new BB line.. The Lo Yang can make credits sure, but thats about it..

 

Conclusion: i dont see any reason to spend any money on these offers as i would rather wait for Scharnhorst which is closing in (hopefully)

I think the reason why they discounted the Lo Yang is that it is a much rare ship that is not available often, so the chances of more people buying are higher than like the Tirpitz that a lot of people allready have.

But.. But.. Its a Benson with Acustics (sonar), nothing special (Yes i have it, and its been mothballed for ages)  .. Tirpitz is at least unique (for a few weeks at least), and u Get to use her captain for other ships.. And the Scharnhorst will probably allways be unique considering the Gneisnau will have 380mm's and not the historical 280's.. Gief...
