Hey WG, do something about MM for the love of god(s)

I get bottom tier so often in my T 8 matches that I don't even notice anymore. It's expecially fun with a Tashkent as you are basically there to be the towed target for T X cruisers and Khabas. With other ships, I try to stick to a T X big stick and act as support. I lose most of the battles but I seldom end with negative credits.

T8 is the moment when WG says:

Yeah well, it's not literally unplayable, but I really have no intention of seeing Yamatos, Khabas, Zaos, and such all day long. And Admiral, it's not bad luck. You can't tell me that out of dozens upon dozens of matches in every T8 ship I grind at least 75% are T10 because of bad luck. Those screenshots I posted in the opening post aren't a fluke. It really has been like that for weeks. Anyway, you only had 1 T8 match in the last 3 weeks (that I can see)! Getting bored of the game? Testing some German goodness?

 

I had many many tier 8 games... In fact quite a few because I couldn't get in a tier X full match and needed to test it there!

Counting the games I had today (10-20 something), I had maybe two or three that weren't in those specific tiers. On the other hand, most of the time I was grinding damage in Nagato, so all good.

 

Well, aside from the regular crap summer players who can't find the chair they're sitting on, and me doing completely horrible in ARP Haguro.

I agree with what people see here. Playing tier 5 or tier 8 is not fun at all. If you pick a tier 5, odds are you'll be fighting a tier 7 match, and same with tier 8, you'll be fighting tier 10. And it's not that if you can play, take advantage, you can manage to do a good game, the OP said it, it's just that is is frustrating to be handed the short end of the stick almost every freaking time, and yes, it puts you off. You take your Tier 5 ships, get into a tier 7 match, play again, again tier 7, then I take my Kutuzov or Tirpitz or Lo Yang, and bang, tier 10.

 

They should restrict the MM to +/-1 tier, and that's it.

the 2 tier gap is non-sense ... a 1 tier gap would be more than enough ...

 

 

OP is right about tier 8 ... basically 3/4 games are T10 games ... 

 

 

edit: and it is not just the fact that you are playing vs much better ships ... but it is the overall 'feel', gameplay, maps, enemy ships ... if i feel like a tier x game i should be able to get that ... not put in different tier/galaxy (and in a standard battle on top of that ...LOL ... rage quitting is clearly on the table in that case)

Okay, I officially made my peace with the notion that this game is hellbent on trolling me so hard. Finally, finally I get 2 nice matches in my Mogami that aren't Tier 10. The result? I don't have screenshots, but this will do, I think. 

 

 

At least i burned 22cm in his New Orleans down to a nice crisp!

Tier 5-7 matches were the norm before the patch. I was whining about it long before the MM changes! Stop blaming the patch without actual evidence.

 

I agree it seems that a lot of matches are 5-7 and 8-10 and this is annoying. However this is due to player distribution

 

I would propose an amendment to MM which simply STOPS you being continually bottom tier. Like 2 in a row then no, you can't be bottom (same for top) to make it less annoying.

Nor the Hipper or chapyev. I have these three cruisers (and NO) and no real will to play them at the moment for fear of the dreaded tier X match

This could be self fulfilling prophecy. If no one plays tier 5s the rest may all end up in tier 7. 

 

I too am not playing my Murmansk. It is on hold. 

 

I expect WG will make changes if they see clumps in MM. So don't despair.

It kind of is, come to think of it. I'm surely not helping

 

And I do hope some changes will be made, I really liked playing the ARP BBs and T5 cruisers.

well WG will need to - understand the humps and what thats doing to game distribution. Put in place steps to deal with it.

 

Might be as easy as "we need some missions for tiers 5/6 only" for a while *or something*
