Nowadays Yorck has 40mm AA guns (pillaged Bofors) so I choose AFT over DE anytime. Yorck's fire chance is already pretty decent and she earned me my first non-CV Witherer award. She is pretty good in all aspects except long range AP (hurts when it hits but is difficult to aim). Imho Yorck is the best cruiser at her Tier, Pensacola being the second one. I just cannot make that long sluggish Myoko work. Don't have Shchors yet but I somehow dislike most CLs. Same with Colorado - although I like Nagato so much she was actually the reason why I started playing this game, I regard Colorado as clearly superior in direct comparison. Its armour is more reliable than the Nagato and its AA defence is simply devastating. I also think the New Mexico is a good battleship. It also has more reliable armour and its a way better brawler than the Fuso. Never played her myself, like I said. I was just talking about her reputation. Can't hit the broadside of the barn. Handles worse than the bloody Nikolai. AA is virtually irrelevant in the modern carrier climate.
