anonym_MfZ6T7iwWpUC Players 1,139 posts Report post #26 Posted August 4, 2016 I would play my tier 4 Myogi if it wasnt so bad battleship. Even South Carolina (tier 3) is superior to that tier 4 battleship. Certainly if all you have played in upto the Myogi, then you are not ready for T8+ Tirpitz battles. And by the way, a fully upgraded Myogi may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but in the right battle, its not as bad as its reputation suggests. Never skip a ship. Each one teaches you something new. Plus, you need to play German ships in order to get a Captain up to the required skill level, to put in the Tirpitz to be effective at such high levels. anonym_MfZ6T7iwWpUC Players 1,139 posts Report post #27 Posted August 4, 2016 I, too, bought Tirpitz way too early. I was a total scrub in it. However, there were some missions that could only be finished in higher tier ships, so I kind of had to. It wasn't very enjoyable, but eventually I learned. While my stats still suffer from those early matches, I now know how to handle her. So. If you play enough games in it you'll learn, but it will be painful until you're there. Unless you _have_ to play Tirpitz for credits gain or missions, I'd stay away until later. I don't know the exact point because I did it wrong, but I know that I actually enjoyed the Myogi, so it may be that when you do, you're ready for Tirpitz. I did the same with the Atago. Although my purchase was partly due to the history of the ship. I stopped playing it. Once I play T8 and above more regularly, I will start playing it again. [-EMM-] Dsquared Beta Tester 8 posts 4,966 battles Report post #28 Posted August 4, 2016 Same here, bought the Tirpitz months back but actually never sailed here. Will dust here off when I have enough experience with T8 battles. And some personal remark about the Myogi, I really love that ship. For me its a better ship than my Arkansas Beta although it has only half of the guns. So I think it really depends on your gamestyle to be honest. For me the Yorck for example is a really bad ship, but some other find it a wonderfull ship. I think Im not playing it to its strenghts. So yes like the previous comments: You have to learn how to play a ship, and its hard to skip to much tiers.

My mum is going through cemo for Cancer ( and its not looking good at the mo) and it doesn't bother that people use the word in open chat. Maybe turn your offended knob down a bit mate. Its just a word FFS. get over it. Oh and to get on topic. The Drepitz is a brillant ship. brawl with it and its awesome. Ideal Tirpitz training vehicle Definitly NO Movement wise Yes... But the Only Line which helps you to learn how to Tirpitz is US Line. All or Nothing Armor Scheme is the best learning cause Tirpitz is also an Brawler. Kongo is an Battlecruiser not an BB. I've yet to understand fully how to make it work nowadays ... but at least i'm not at 40 % win rate with it anymore
JohnA87 Players 56 posts 3,216 battles Report post #34 Posted August 5, 2016 Happened to several of us, I bought the Atago before i reached tier 5 during OBT and it really shows that i was not ready for the different playstyle at higher levels.. Investing time in the game is the smartest thing you can do if you want to understand it. Then watch youtube of people playing Tirpitz, she does not handle like her advisories at tier 8 and need to be played accordingly.

It's good to know how fast Kongo moves around the map and maneuvers because it's quite similar to Tirpitz in that. But yeah, Tirpitz is similar to USN BBs with the armor so it plays more like a USN BB but with the speed of a Kongo. To me it's like a weird perfect hybrid of a battlecruiser and a proper battleship with the speed of the first ones and the armor of the latter. Also, yes, you should brawl with a Tirpitz. [EXCEL] GuzLightyear Alpha Tester 61 posts 9,255 battles Report post #37 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) You bought a tier 8 ship when your best one was a tier 4 and you think you'll fare well battling against ships you've never seen in maps you've never played with a gameplay you've never experienced?. You should grind a line and get to tier 8 in a battleship to get how to play it. That's the problem with tier 8 premiums, they introduce you to a different gameplay with more experienced enemies. Trip_Tover Players 24 posts 2,378 battles Report post #38 Posted August 5, 2016 It makes sense that you're gonna suck when starting a new ship, especially at higher levels as you're not going to have any of the numerous 'improvements' that are available. Plus you won't have the experience. Grind and patience. When I get pissed off, I fire up my Omaha and feel much better.
