Obviously. The game is "pay to rush". If you have patience and are willing to grind coop or farm free XP you don't need to pay a thing...

I don't see it so much as a grind as I see it as playing a game I like to play. Sometimes it's harder, sometimes it's easier. Still fun, though.

Fuso is strong ship, when you have full upgrader her. Don't worry, soon you will dominate the ocean. I still use Fuso as I have already completed IJP Battleship tree.

Might hold off and see what premiums come up and then do some free xping. I'll play a few games and persevere. I got a few kills so hasnt been a complete disaster just was a bit salty because I feel that the stock guns could have had say a 16km range and possibly you could unlock the upgrade first not after the hull then another then the guns.
