Is Flint really that OP?

I see a lot of familiar names there, each and every one of them better than average. I feel like that pretty much validates my theory that it's not the ship, it's the players.

It is both.

Flint is certainly stronger than Atlanta because of the smoke alone. Radar is usually a situational anti-DD and cyclone-consumable whereas smoke is a highly multifunctional offensive and/or defensive-tool that nearly immunizes the Flint against its most deadly enemies while at the same time allowing for additional damage. The vastly improved torpedoes are just a little bonus.

Even on Kutuzov which has much worse smoke combined with bigger ship-size, I would NEVER EVER trade the smoke for radar.

The fact that Flint-players are really strong just inflates the stats some more, especially since they know exactly how to use the godly US-smoke to maximum effect.

I find it amusing that WG, apparently still not satisfied with smoke, gave Flint Benson's instead of Mahan's torpedoes. The difference in damage is huge, around 50% if I remember correctly.

What do you guys think?

I think this thing is really OP.

How am I supposed to battle this thing with a New York if I can't see it, if I can't get to it fast enough and if I can't get away from it.

What basically happened is something started raining down an insane amount of HE which not only started fires, but also did good pure damage and well...once something like this starts firing at you you're dead. Just dead. Fun!
