German premium BB - where's my Scharnhorst? Also: New ARP missions

Ever since Scharnhorst was put into the client for testing I've been waiting for it's release, checking the damn website daily. Or rather, ever since that hunk'o'junk Krasni Krym was released. Remember, Wargaming? You put that scrapheap into testing alongside Scharnhorst. More than 2 weeks have passed now, and still not even a word on the release of any german premium(s) or a hint at the exact release date for the entire tree.

And no, "around Gamescom" isn't good enough. First you hype everybody up for those ships, only NOT to deliver at the peak of said hype. By now at least a german premium should be out... you now, to get some more money from us and keep the hype up.

Instead, I'm still looking at that russian garbage scow for a latest entry in the shop.

So, DATES, now!

Oh, and while you're at it, please train your website monkey to activate Information on new missions/content so it's available PARALLEL to the shop/game client. Just saw new Arpeggio missions in-game and a little heads-up would be nice.

You are too impatient. It should be obvious when they are released at the latest.

I know that this community is used to Wargaming 1.) keeping people waiting and 2.) not saying anything about it. And usually that's somewhat acceptable... in this case however, they KNOW many players  want those ships, they KNOW that they have already have kept us waiting for a YEAR now ever since the "german tech tree" was anounced - only to deliver a fraction of it so far - and they have ACTIVELY pushed the hype on the new battleships, only to return to their usual silence and NOT make anything clear.

And I'm sorry, but under those circumstances a rough "around gamescom" is just not good enough - especially when they continue to tease us and don't give any form of explanation what the fu**ing holdup is right now.

EDIT: More importantly, "the latest" possible date would be good if they would at least confirm it as solid. But they don't do that either. Which either means they have fucked up with the new ships big time and don't want to admit it (yet) or they intentionally keep us in the dark and waiting for no reason other than because they believe it increases the excitement or some sh**.

EDIT 2: Or they believe the new ships are their brightest gem for Gamescom... which would be understandable while being equally disappointing. If the german ships are their only big trump card for Gamescom... they might as well release them now.

German bb line will come just before gamescom, Scharnhorst will be out sooner, perhaps even tomorrow, and ARP missions will be updated tomorrow in the event box as well.

I do have a valid ? though I already have HIEI and she is well trained, what happens with her as I complete the new HIEI mission? Will I have 2 of her or will the one I have be overwritten?

I do want the new CA so have to play them to get there.

Been wondering about that too. I also have already a skill-less commander Hiei wasting one of my reserve slots as I also got the 16-point commander Hiei.

So, how about some credits / xp instead of getting the same commander / ship again? See, I wanna get Ashigara too.

And that bad hype is precisely why we can't have nice things, like historical setup for Gneisenau.

Shame.

Scharnhorst is available to ST and WG personnel for testing, is currently unknown when the testing or the NDA related will get lifted. When the tests and the NDA are over you'll have more details

Suck it up.  They are under no obligation to tell you anything.

And I have seen things on the forum suggesting that it was OP in its original configuration and further balancing/testing was required.

This is the most entitled post I've read in a long time.

Is the world really going to end because you have to wait 3 weeks for a new line of ships?

It's a free game. Get over it.

I've heard that it's both Op and weak from different sources. Just sit tight and grind captains or play something else in the meantime :B

I'm a paying customer, thank you very much.

And even if I would "just" be a pure free-to-play player... getting some solid answers now and then may not be amongst the written rights of players - but without proper player / customer treatment People might decide to abandon ship. And while a few handful might not matter on short notice sooner or later there will leave enough people to make it less and less attractive for those that still would want to Play. Resulting in more quitters...

I'm not saying this particular latest blunder in non-communication will set such a wave in motion, but it all adds up. Plus bigger companies than Wargaming have succesfully killed bigger games than World of Warships with such antics.

The players have the power. No players, no game, no money, no prestige. And in worst case, no company, which means no jobs for all those who decided keeping the players waiting with no explanation was a good idea. So, yes, for all we owe them for giving us such an entertaining game THEY owe us too for playing it and investing time (and money).

After all, would it hurt them to 1.) drop a little heads-up on current (hot) topics and 2.) update their damn website simultanously to new missions / shop offerings?

There's an explanation: the ship wasn't deemed ready for release the first time around and, as a consequence, we're having another round of testing with her. The moment the NDA gets lifted on her you'll know more, until then WG and ST can't say anything.

You have been waiting? What about me? what about everyone else? What makes you so special?

I have no idea if YOU in particular have been waiting as well. It is reasonable to assume that more people and not just me are waiting. It is also reasonable to assume more people are not happy with the current situation and lack of Information.

You wanna know what makes me "special"? I decided to speak up.

You are most welcome to join me, as is anyone else who might be dissatisfied. This is a forum for all after all.

I especially love that despite it being common knowledge that they will be released at Gamescon some people still insist on complaining despite the fact that we haven't got to the Gamescon dates yet:rolleyes:
