When is "soon" ?

From what I read they have always aimed at Gamescom for the release and they seem to be on track.

 

Gamescom is on the weekend of August 19th. Considering that today's update added the ships to the game, it will probably release around that time, leaving almost 3 weeks for the Supertesters to check for bugs and to add last minute fixes.

 

I just hope that we see the Scharnhorst earlier, I need something fresh to play.

We have known since jan/feb that german BB are expected around gamescom time, seems to be bang on target for that.

i wait these ships but the gneisenau guns my real problem and text of her becouse he never finish the gun re build.
so i smell again very big fail to WG i donth think,i the only player who want the 283mm guns on the gneisenau and the hull is not enough.

example the A hull need to be the 1939 klipper bow hull and the B hull when star the gun rebuild and the C is after re armed loneg bow and then come to 38cm guns, this is the logical to me but WG and logic or historical is very different.

like the hipper hull same mistake.

My guess would be release 18th August. They will then be fixing the ships' major bugs, like armor, AA guns which are in the way of main turrets like on Hipper etc. for a few months, so they should be actually playable around October / November.

My guess would be with the GamesCom Hype it will be playable on GamesCom at least... if WE get it then is another matter entirely.

I cannot say what soon is but if you see patch notes saying "ships in game for testing" it always means sooner than if they aren't

 

For comparison someone could find out the gap between Russian cruisers on live testing and their release. And guess.

Don't forget that glorious 10km range while costantly getting uptiered with ships that have much greater range and speed, not to mention big maps where you manage to get to the action either when it already ended or when your team is wiped out.

 

No, WG themselves admitted tier III BB's purposely suck to discourage players from playing them, so don't expect Nassau to be any different. Also, it obviously don't work as even totally clueless newb can get to tier 5 easily, so they may as well drop the charade and finally make those BB's balanced.
