Technically, Jean Bart already got an inflated coal price over Musashi (228k over some 170k or so coal) same as Alaska/Azuma got inflated to 1 million FreeXP over Missouri/Kronshtadt/Musashi's 750k FreeXP. So one could hope Georgia as a T9 could remain at a similar price to JB with Yoshino probably quite a bit more expensive.

 

But they could just ramp up the inflation anew, so...

There will be closed testing of new mechanics and consumables for the new possible game mode:

I'm not sure our overlords have a full appreciation of the chaos that might ensue. Why not just release it onto live for data gathering purposes? Spreadsheets say it'll probably be fine...

If the SAP shells indicate future Italian ships, or modification to the Cesare and the Roma, I wouldn't protest.

The former would be less devastating than it currently is (the copy-pasta Dunkerque HE helps making her too comfortable for her own good), and the latter would have a viable second shell, since nobody uses HE on her.

Previous changes to this battleship were intended to outline Slava's role as a ship for long-range combat having good firepower, but vulnerable when under focused. Lowered survivability impacted Slava's positioning in combat and moved it away from enemies. But the firepower of the ship was not enough and we decided to return some of the parameters to their previous values.

Yudachi, a ship which is commonly regarded as underwhelming, gets nerfed while Slava and Colbert, both ships which are regarded as very strong, get buffed.

 

Either there has been an influx of dubious players amongst the ST which skews the statistical data or WG is being drunk silly again.

I doubt ST had anything with this, seems like WG Dev Team just received new shipment of Vodka. This is probably the worst changes to ships since 0.8.0

Smolensk nerf is literaly the only half sensible part of the changes, and even then, AFT fixes it right back.

 

Either somebody is having great fun at WG or they really lost it.

This must be a really reeeeaaaallllly special batch to produce this kind of changes. Probably directly from Chernobyl Rector Number 4. This is f****** ridicules. There is not a single normal change among them, but buffs to Slava and Colbert and nerf to Yudachi are really priceless.

I guess that "vodka" was distilled from diesel oil with pinch of gasoline for flavor

Wait, if Slava is using same guns and shells as Soyuz (whitch sort of shoud be a given?) just with better long range dispersion IDK how this ship can be such an issue, soyuz guns are pretty crappy at a distance, and I dont mean hitting target part (i get that dispersion and all) i mean punching through armor part after you hit, ok you will punish cruisers but other bbs? I just get loads if shaters and bounces I rarely see with other bbs

Well, Slava seems to  use vodka flavored propellant, pushing these shells up to 870m/s compares to Soyuz 830m/s which might solve issues of lacking penetration

Not sure if you ever watched someone playing Slava, but she is really deadly both vs cruisers and BBs. The guns are similar to Soyuz in many ways but not the same. Soyuz muzzle velocity is 830m/s, Slava is 870m/s. Also Slava shells have less drag then Soyuz shells. There are some other small differences like alpha damage but shell mass and krupp are the same.

Indeed. Her magic-guns give her somehow better pen than the bigger guns of Yamato. Ironically these were historically italian guns. :Smile_trollface:

870 m/s seems to be the increased value which was considered after trials showed less barrel wear than excepted at 830 m/s.

Same applies to Republique until 18 km, Sov. Soyuz at 14 km and Kreml at 15 km and above.
