If they nerf premium ships, no matter how warranted. They should ALWAYS refund for cash. Giving out doubloons is greedy and pathetic.

It's less OP for sure, but it is by no means bad. The only part where it falls short is the hp pool and AA, but in most areas it's great.

Nerfing premium ships comes with its own can of worms, but in case of ships like GC, it is needed.

I still say best case scenario is prevention here, never allow a premium ship to be OP at release. Always rather release it in nerfed shape and buff later if needed (in small increments to prevent overbuffing).

I am a GC (and Kamikaze) owner and I am (cautiously) pretty ok with this, as long as they make sure it fits at T6. Just do the plating and maybe give it a bit more hp.

Wish they'd do this to Belfast and other 'balans' premiums and Exeter as well.

 

Oh and pls bump Leone and the Duca's a tier down already. Aosta fits better at T5 with its current setup, and Abruzzi would be beter suited to T6.

But they were warned over and over again about GC BEFORE it was releases -

and in their OVERBEARING ARROGANCE they ignored the warnings.

 

If they get a sh*tstorm then they deserve it.  :Smile-angry:

I would just like to remind everyone that they even buffed the GC quite heavily after it was released.

As far as I can tell - it's still Farming Simulator 2019. 

 

It's just the AA cruisers turn now to farm planes. Much wailing from some CV players as the old 'press F to get out of Jail Free' trick doesn't work quite as well as it used to. WG being WG - they may have whacked the CV/AA balance in favour of AA (previously it was firmly in favour of the CV). 

 

Continuous AA damage is a fair bit higher on certain ships (AA cruisers in particular) so flying near them is now a really bad idea. Imagine that, an AA ship being dangerous to planes..... who ever heard of such a thing? Attacking blobs of ships is now also not a good idea due to multiple stronger continuous damage auras being applied.

 

I think DDs are still stuffed by the ever present threat of the rocket mafia - I honestly don't know how WG can address that short of buffing DD concealment to silly levels or nerfing attack planes to the point that they become useless. 

 

I'm sure the pendulum of balance will swing the other way in the next fix - so enjoy the ride while it lasts!

A first step to help DD would be to remove 6th sense to planes.

 

At this time, the detection distance of DD doesn't count, all that matters is the plane distance detection : plane is spotted, ok there is a DD in the area, let's search it and voilà, 10 sec later, the DD spotted and attacked.

You can't balance T8 CV against T10 AA.

Is there any way that you can have good T10 AA but not completely shut down T8 CV?
Maybe they should give T8 cv a damage modifier for T10 AA. Or seperate MM, although WG will never do that.

Now if only there was some number between 8 and 10 for a CV that you could fill those T10 battles with.
Its almost like having a big powergap between T8 and T10 CVs might cause issues. :cap_hmm:

Yeah... while Haku was a bit too much OP before hotfix, and already not really fun, no she is even bad and clearly boring to play. I am quite fascinated by the capacity to WG dev team to be so incompetent as doing anything... !

AA vs CV: IF T X -> 100% dmg

                  IF T IX -> 90% dmg

                  IF T VIII -> 80% dmg

I'm gonna put in a suggestion in the feedback thread. Shouldn't be too hard to implement considering such a modifier already exists in the form of accuracy (which, for those who do not know, isn't actually some kind of RNG but is just multiplied with DPS to get the true DPS value).
